Elizabeth and Gary's weight loss journey...
« Thread Started on Sept 7, 2009, 5:13am »

Elizabeth is a CBV customer and she makes videos on YT. I love the way she edits her videos and have been watching them for sometime. This weekend she started a new series of weight loss journey videos that I think are wonderful and going to be important to share with others that are struggling... so I will be posting each of their videos here to share with all of you... so far there are 3 in the series I will add her videos to this thread as she posts them on YT.. much success to Elizabeth and Gary... you are so brave and truly an inspiration!!!

Good morning. Yes, I've remember seeing some of her videos on Lush products. This will be interesting to follow; I noticed our city near the top of that list too. Thanks for posting.

Thank you for posting those Victoria---I do not struggle much with my weight but Danny does. I am going to enjoy watching these and I wish them both good luck as I know how hard it can be.

The first thing they need to do is get rid of that sugary cereal LOL Best way to start day off is with eggs . Dan had a special heart test when we were in South Fl last month and although we know the results were not bad we get the full explanation when we go back this month and we also get 45 minutes with a nutritionist--so that should be interesting.

Also the only thing you should have after 6 PM at night is almonds. (Do they make them chocolate coated ??)

Great videos, she does a great job with "producing" them. I am curious to see how they do :) I wish them both the best of luck with their journey, they look like sweet people and she is so pretty.

Thanks for posting those Victoria. Im always struggling with my weight and having thyroids out of control sure doesnt help. They are truely inspirations.

My thyroid is usually in a coma, so I take meds to help it get back up. Although the doc tells me it's "fine" now, I disagree. I don't have the energy I did before it died.

I'd love to have that energy again. *sigh*

So I just MAKE myself do whatever I can, just to keep busy.

To add: STRESS not only KILLS YOU, it puts weight on you. I gained back 20 pounds of the 33 I lost last year because of stress this year. My hubby was laid off and became severely depressed. With the depression came a person I didn't even know lived with me. I started to hate him; he made life almost unbearable for me and our youngest son. He put us through a living hell at home.

I'm an emotional EATER, which means when something bothers me, instead of working out, I eat. I always get up and move after eating, but I always eat more than I work, so it's a dead end for me.

Then I almost lost him in August, literally thought he was gonna die. He had quit eating and completely malnourished himself. To boot, he was dehydrated from all the SODAS he was consuming. No water, milk or electrolytes were getting in, only sodas.

We finally got him back on the right track, but I'm now almost back to my starting point of last year. My pants are tight and I don't move around as well as I did. Do I blame him? Yes and no.

At any point he could have taken control of his mind, will, and emotions and recuperated. He refused. Instead, he sat around moping, waiting (I suppose) for me to comfort him, when all I wanted was for him to get off his butt and act like he cared about living. He didn't even want to go to church (GASP!). Yes, that's a "big deal" with us; it's a very big deal. We're Deacons.

So I'm starting out again, with a new goal. 10 pounds by Thanksgiving. Ya'll can just remember me by crossing yer fingers... I won't do any self-loathing on video. LOL!
