The recent True Blood conversation in the Watcha Got Burning thread got me curious as to what kind of shows everyone else is watching. Right now I am hooked on True Blood and (please please please ignore the terrible name it is actually a really good show) Teen Wolf. I have reall all the Sookie Stackhouse books and so from day one have been a fan of the tv series. Teen Wolf is a fairly recent find. A lot of my friends kept nagging me to watch it, but like many I rolled my eyes not only at such a cheesey name, but because I remember the 80's movie as well. A teenage werewolf show was not on my list of things I wanted to watch...until I was forced to watch the first episode and realized it was NOTHING like how I imagined it would be. I also love Game Of Thrones but it isn't on at the moment. Dani and Tyrion are my favorite characters and always have been from day one though I really liked Jaquen Ha'gar (or however you spell it). So what are some of the shows you guys are watching?
Because I'm nosy.

I'm not really into popular series or things like that. Shows I have recently been watching include mostly reruns on my DVR: I Love Lucy, Reba, Duck Dynasty, and anything on HGTV - House Hunters, My First Place, Love It Or List It. And of course, more recently, SHARK WEEK!!! *insert Jaws theme song here*.

My mom and I love watching Americas Got Talent and Project Runway together too. I always fall asleep to nick at night because they always have friends or full house on and those shows remind me of growing up.

Definitely been tuning into shark week so far. And Duck Dynasty is a favorite in my home. I never thought I would like a show like that but they are so hilarious to watch. Jace is my favorite then Si.

I've watched every season of True Blood. No matter how weird or crazy that show can be I can't help but watch it. If Eric and Sookie don't end up together I'll be very disappointed. Game Of Thrones is another favorite, my top favorite. I started watching it after the first season had ended and was hooked! I like how unpredictable that show can be. I'm not sure how healthy it is for me to want to see bodily harm come to a character as much as I do for Joffrey. I hate that kid! The Walking Dead is another show that we started later than most and I'm surprised I like it as much as I do. I also like Grimm and kind of wish that it wasn't on regular TV because I think it could be better if it could get away with more mature content. White Collar is my safe show, the kids could be awake and in the same room with that show on unlike the other shows I watch. Even though I use to watch Top Model I can't stand reality shows because I think they are fake. Documentary type shows are okay and I will admit I have probably watched more Finding Bigfoot (you can laugh) than I should ever admit to. I do like decorating shows because I love to decorate but never seem to watch them anymore. Maybe the good ones are on when I'm getting kids off to bed :/

Lately I've started watching and loving the new original Netflix series called Orange is the New Black and I'm OBSESSED. It's quirky and funny.
I'll be diving into Breaking Bad season 5 pretty soon, and I can't wait! This has got to be the best show I've watched since the first season of Dexter!
I'm itching for new episodes of The Walking Dead! Can it be October yet? We always have people over every Sunday when the season is airing. It's such a social thing for us at the house. I've been missing it!!!

Lisa I swear we have the same DVR lol! I also love Grimm and have often pondered how much better it would be if say it was an HBO series where they could put more budget and mature scenarios. I like it the way it is but still if they could take it to the next level it would be way more awesome.
The Walking Dead is a longtime favorite. I can't wait for October to get here so I can see the crazy govenor again. Of course when I first saw him I laughed a bit because the guy who plays him also played Colonel Brandon on the latest BBC version of Sense & Sensibility. So it was a bit of a character leap lol.
I'm not much for reality television but I do love Syfy's Face Off because it is a competition based purely on the individual's skill. No alliances, no backstabbing schemers, no obvious rigging on the production half either. It boils down just to how well the make-up artists can create full make-ups and prostetics in a short time based on a certain theme. Plus all of the judges actually are in that field and know what they are talking about. PLus I love the sportmanship they always have every year. Even if they are running out of time working on their own projects they still stop and help out their fellow competitors. I really admire that.

I will have to check out Face Off because it looks like we like a lot of the same shows. Once Upon Time is getting talked about but I have yet to check it out. We are a bit odd in my house and find the following video hilarious! Warning it contains zombies and possibly offensive content. Hopefully someone finds it funny

I finally am making my first post. (:
I'm not surprised it's about tv since I spend so much time on Netflix. I absolutely love Face Off.
I am definitely just waiting for Doctor Who and The Walking Dead to be back already!! They are my favorites.

Hahaha! That Walking Dead video was funny Lisa! I have heard a lot about Once Upon A Time and it looks like something I would love to watch, but I can't find the first season anywhere (I don't have Netflix sadly) so I don't think it is something I can just jump right into 3 seasons out. Such a shame because the whole re-creating fairy tales thing is right up my alley. The new Face Off just started a couple days ago and I'm already hooked again! Rookies verses veterans and it is going to be awesome! I have heard ALOT about Doctor Who, but have never seen it. Supposedly there are a ton of different version and I just have no idea where to even start.

If you ever want to start, I would recommend checking out season 1 of the new series with Christopher Eccleston the 9th doctor (2005 I believe is when it aired). It's the first season of the revamped series. They explain the storyline great so you don't have to watch the older series. A little cheesy at first, but definitely worth it...if that's your kind of show anyways (:

Thanks so much for the help. So many people seem to be a fan of it that I've wondered how good it is but never knew where to start. I might have to try and see if I can hunt down the first episodes of the 2005 version.

Hi Ladies!!! Holy COW it's been forever since I've been on the Pouring Pot! I've missed you all! Anywho, I am a TV junkie right now! Obsessed with Doctor Who, Sherlock, Supernatural, Game of Thrones, Walking Dead, True Blood (though I'm not caught up all the way), and I love How I Met Your Mother (also not all the way caught up), Pretty Little Liars (my guilty pleasure), Grey's Anatomy (not caught up), Say Yes To The Dress, and a bunch of others! Cayla, if you're at all into SciFi you totally have to watch Doctor Who, and I agree, start at the 2005 Series 1 with Christopher Eccleston! Also, everyone should watch Sherlock!!

Kayla!! It sure has been awhile! Glad to see you back, we missed you too. I love Sci-Fi and fantasy shows and I have heard so much Doctor Who love. I want to watch it but does anybody know where I can watch the 2005 series online? Does Hulu or some place like that have them?
