Awe little one! She should be fine and I am sure she is in great hands. Sending healing thoughts her way! I'm sorry you had to pay anything at all but it sounds like it was handled in the fairest possible way. As much as I would love to have participated in every fundraiser it just wasn't always doable. I hope the "one and done" fundrIser was successful enough in its first year to repeat in the years ahead. Unfortunately having every family give "x" amount each month is more of a pipe dream of mine and not sure if it will ever be a possibility at our school either. It would work I tell ya... No word about the van. I'm trying to not get upset. Stress makes us sick plus things always seem to work out some how. I will admit we bought a lotto ticket and crossed our fingers. Sadly my dreams of buying every CBV product in one order must remain a dream .....for now...

I hear ya on the wax dream.. I have already told my husband when our taxes come in this year I am gonna need a gracious amount no questions asked...
This will be our first year we will not have to pay in :-))) sooo happy about that!
Harmony Grace (my sisters baby) will be coming home Monday, just in time for Christmas. She is doing well they just want to keep her a few more nights until her oxygen level comes up, but they have already taken the mask off her face and she is breathing on her own just not strong enough for them to comfortably discharge her. I think it is because was is so premature. She now weighs 8 pounds and is a month old. Makes me want another one.

I'm so happy to hear Harmony will be coming home for Christmas! That is great news! I definitely love babies and do get the baby itch when I'm around them but no more for me. I'm hoping some day, not soon I'll be blessed with a few grandkids to spoil.
Thank goodness for tax returns! We had to use a big chunk of ours to fix the van in the beginning of the year. I'ts hard to complain about it really because at least we had the money to fix it. Speaking of the van. $300.87 was the final bill. I can live with that! I kept expecting to hear it was going to cost over a thousand dollars. The van is running like a champ and fingers crossed we get a few more good years out of her. Sorry, yes tax returns and wax.......I better start being very very very good right now. Valentines day is very close to tax return time so maybe I can persuade my hubby that I need some more CBVBB and some new spring scents too of course. So far my husband has been great about my (fairly new) wax addiction. This may be due to the fact that his hobby is a giant arcade cabinet that lives in the breakfast nook area of the kitchen. It could be a car in the garage and I'd never see him, or golf, or some other hobby that keeps him away, so I can't complain.
My Christmas plans may entail my mom and a few sisters coming here on Christmas Eve to exchange presents. One of my sisters came yesterday and gave my kiddos their gifts. My 3 year old son is still new to the details of Christmas and said "thank you Santa". He must have thought she was working on the side as one of Santa's elves lol. We explained to him that the gifts were from his auntie and he gave her many grateful hugs after that.
Christmas Eve wont be anything too fancy, we will probably order pizza and I'm sure my daughter and I will want to make something sweet to share. My grandma passed away in July 2010 and the holidays have not been the same with out her. My moms husband does not celebrate any holidays and doesn't want any celebrations at their house. She can't have a tree and he doesn't want any pagan decorations up..... My mom has been saying it is okay to make new traditions and she is right. So whether you celebrate with old traditions or new ones I hope you all have a very Merry Christmas!

Every christmas eve we have dinner at my aunt and uncles and us four cousins exchange gifts. We then head to church together....I always look forward to Christmas eve service because we sing silent night by candlelight and the cathedral looks beautiful! We then head home to our house and open our Christmas eve present: pajamas! We all change into our new pajamas and watch White Christmas until my sister and I get tired. We always sleep together in my room Christmas eve to Christmas Vacation (on a loop all night). We usually get up around 5 and drag our parents out of bed. Whenever I watch TV shows, it makes me sad how they all just open their presents at once. We usually open our stockings and see what Santa brought us. After that, we get all of our own presents and go around the circle, opening them one at a time. Around 8 we finish presents and eat breakfast: kielbasa with eggs and a blueberry butter braid with the 24 hour Christmas Story on in the background. Those are just some of our fun little traditions!
