Alright I know at least more than a few of you are like me and are slightly OCD about your CBV and you guys have lists made out right? Well I made a new list to help me keep track of my addiction and it got me thinking how you all keep your lists. Do you guys just write down the scents you are most interested in trying for the next order or do you have an elaborate chart system that looks like it should belong in a top secret NSA bunker somewhere lol? Really I've seen people get sophisticated with their lists. So what is your proffered style?
I have 2 lists. One list I just have on my computer is of the scents that I most want or am intrigued by. It isn't a long list since I mainly just type down the ones I really don't want to forget and that I want in my next order but I narrow it down to give myself wiggle room for the upcoming order in case I feel like spontaneously adding some scents.
The 2nd list I have is a bit more complicated and I'm in the process of updating. It is a complete list of every CBV scent currently offered in alphabetical order and numbered (so i can see how many scents there are in all). In black I have the ones I have tried and in red I have the ones I haven't tried yet. That way I can tell how many I have had and how many left to go before I smell them all. *thinks of the pokemon theme: gotta catch em all gotta catch em all* I'm also weird and if I see too much red scents in succession then I will want to pick one to get so I can break it up lol. OCD much? I find it very cathartic and this list is also good for showing me where my main scent preferences are. I have tried a lot of the blueberry and pumpkin scents. It also highlights the areas I haven't really branched out that much in such as the earthy scents and the floral scents.
So what is your method of list making?

I have like a bajillion lists for CBV lol. It's so complicated that I'll have to get on my computer to write it (:
I feel like making the lists will only help me try everything in alphabetical order! Lol

I just use NOTES on my iPhone. I have the option to email or print that list if I want to, otherwise it is simply something I can easily refer back to anytime. I have a 2013 Candles by Victoria "note" and one for 2014 now. At the bottom of the page I keep a note on the burn time estimates for certain sizes of candles. At the top of the page I list scents and products I want to try. I have an Easter Ideas list going now too with the things I'm collecting to enjoy then. After that:
Each new order begins with date and payment details. I list the arrival date when the order is received. The products ordered are then listed by group: Bath &Body, Candles and Scent Shots. This makes it easy to look up when a candle or scent shot was received and choose when to check to see if it has cured.
This is working pretty well for me right now. I suspect that our temperaments affect our needs for lists. People who are uncomfortable with mess will have thorough, possibly complex lists and those of us sadly tolerant of mess will be more casual about it.

I have an alphabetical list I titled "Main Wish List 2013" (I just updated it to Main Wish List & Stock 2014) that I had originally started as a way to keep track of the scents I wanted to try. Well as I ordered them I marked them with a red asterisk. This list has now grown considerably over the last year and I now have more scents with a red asterisk than don't. Scents that I am most curious about I'll list like this "Raspberry Sorbet - next time". The scent shots that I put in the Round Robin I kept on my list but they are listed like this "Salty Dog", that way I know I don't own them anymore but I have tried them.
I have a few lists on my phone that aren't updated as often. I have a list for CAS I may want to try or just names for potential CAS that I like the sound of. I have a list called "CBV Re-order Wish List", I'll jot down scents that I absolutely love and want to re-order. Sometimes I will just make a new note with a scent that some mentions that I don't want forget to add to my main wish list later.
But that is not the end to my list making madness! Every time I order I type up a list of the new scents and copy and paste the scent descriptions next to each scent name and also mark whether or not they are available in b&b. After my new organization of my scent shots by category I have also added the category the scents can be found on the website. This helps me know which drawer/location to store my new scent shot. I print the order lists with descriptions so I have a hard copy and when I sniff a scent shot I can easily find the description with out the need to go online and look it up. Oh but there is ANOTHER list.......(who wants to commit me to the mental hospital right now? LOL). When I was organizing my scents by category, to make things easier I typed up ALL of my scent shots and put them in their correct categories, it's basically my hard copy inventory list and makes finding a scent like Honeybee a bakery scent easy to find because I'd probably look in the floral category for it first. When I typed up that long inventory list I thought I wouldn't be ordering for many many more months and well, I'm weak and did order more so as you can imagine that list needs to be updated. I have atrocious handwriting and would like my lists to be typed and neat. *sigh*
OMG I have a problem! THIS is why I consider this addiction a hobby.

Wow those are all neat ways to keep track. And Lisa I'm right there in the cell next to you in that nuthouse! Maybe they will let us have arts and crafts together. I type all my lists too. It just is so much easier to add or subtract scents, though I normally delete the whole thing and start from scratch. I forgot to mention my other list which is a kind of for fun list, where I went alphabetically and chose 2 scents starting with each letter (exp: Apple raspberry crumble, Apples& oranges, Banana cream pie, bahama mama, etc) of scents that I haven't tried but want. That way I can still order somewhat alphabetically on my list but I still get scents I want to try first. Crazy I know. I don't adhere to it too much but it is fun to cross off the ones I do get and to see how much of the alphabet I'm covering little by little. Having an inventory is pretty smart. I never thought of that. *oh know don't give me ideas!* I take the hard way and just pull out all my shots though they are separated in categories until I find the one I'm looking for and I just keep mental tracks of the ones I traded. On another note I'm glad to see someone else agrees with me that Honeybee should not be a bakery scent! Lol I wondered why it was in the bakery category when it doesn't smell anything at all like something anyone should be eating. It does smell florally to me.

I actually haven't made any lists- I add things to my cart as the things that I would want and continue updating and changing it that way. When I heard about the sale, my shopping cart was basically 85% modified - lol. I think it's a really good idea to make these types of lists. I thought about typing up an entire master list in excel, with the complete description. Then when you filter though things that you would want (like lavender, I regretted not getting more levender scents from the order I just made) all of the corresponding scents will pop up. Then in a separate column with my review. I like the idea of striking, coloring, or adding an asterisk of the ones that have been tried.
I agree that this is a hobby! It's a bit of a quirky one, but they make me happy. =0P
And Cayla, I used to love Pokemon! Those were the days... I had the original gameboy and I remember my wrists hurting after playing for a hour.

I'm a list maker naturally. You should have seen the multitude of baby name lists I had when I was pregnant with my children. I had notebooks filled, yes that was plural.....many many notebooks filled with baby names. I must find making list themselves therapeutic.

Oh my word, multiple lists?! Pretty hard core =0) I make checklists and goals every day/for the future. I pretty much not functional without my planner. I actually made my master list today, after I thought more about it. I copied and pasted all of the scents in one master list form. Description in one column, wishlist (1-3. 3 is the highest amount of want), rate (dislike, like,favorite..etc), and review. Anthing I've bought is greyed out. That way I can sort through what I liked and what i would like and search through the description for future wishes. According to my chart, there are 907 scents. Lol hopefully everything has copied and pasted correctly.

I have an excel spreadsheet here on my work computer. Since I order from here and receive orders here also, it works better to be on this system. There are tabs for candles, for melts and a wish list. And I rate the candles and melts 1-5. I have a feeling anything that doesn't make a 4 or 5 probably will not get reordered as there are so many of them.

Wow that sounds pretty proficient. I sadly do not believe I have excel on my computer but it is a great idea for those who do have it!
