Oh, swoon! Buttercream lip balm sound SO DECADENT! I'm afraid I'd be licking my lips until they were chapped. That is the reason the best lips balms are fragrance and flavor feee, but these are a fun novelty. Do give us a report after you receive it, please?
If anyone has chapped lips I adore the Luscious Lips Duo from Paula's Choice, Scrub to exfoliate and then a lovely Balm to heal.
The name Black Amethyst is intriguing, so I want to hear about that too, please? I own of the lip balms (untinted) in Buttercream and it is fabulous! Very moisturizing and the flavor is actually pretty subtle and the scent is creamy and sweet. I was afraid I'd want to lick my lips right off but luckily these are not overly flavored. Black Amerhyst is a mysteriously gorgeous name isn't it? I am afraid I am not sure what it is duping so I wont be be able say how spot on it is. I'd love to know how you like the tint of the lip balm you chose.

Sure Thing.
I saw that it was time to dump out the contents of the handbag and start over. It was a good time to sort out which Winter lip colors should be in the bag or not too. I looked up BEST lipglosses and lipsticks on Beautypedia (the reviews are ingredient based and more scientific than most). I selected Winter shades in those specific BEST types (which included drugstore staples like Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick and several Maybelline lipsticks, NYX Butter Gloss and Mega Shine Lip Gloss plus Maybelline and L'Oreal options). Then found them a pair of pockets in the handbag and went off to add to my slim stock of Purple lipcolors. I have a very cool skin tone so most of them just look fuschia on me but it is fun to choose gorgeous pinks and purples in the tubes. I'm not going for anything nearly black. This lip balm fits into my Purple collection.

My favorite color lip stick is Kasbah by Rimmel. Of course I haven't tried a ton of colors and brands. I love the purple tones but they don't look the best on me. Even though I hardly wear much color now days I would like to find a decent red. I gave up red a long time ago because I couldn't find one that didn't look to orange or pink on me.

If you have a cool skin tone you want a bit of blue in your red. I'll take a look at mine.
Next Time I'm out I'll look to see if Maybelline Color Sensational Very Cherry 635 is still available. That one might suit you.

I think I have more of a warm skin tone even though I am fair. Once somone who sold Mary Kay did my make up with cool tones and I looked awful. I have a lot of natural copper highlights in my hair. I own quite a few coral colored shirts.

I have the same problem with certain red tones just looking garish on my lips but i have found Revlons lip butters un cherry tart and candy apple to look great. they are lupsticks but feel luke lip balms so you don't get feathering or dry lips and you can build the color on your lips. I'm pretty fussy with my lips so. tend to stay away from gloss. and lipsticks since they always come off but i do love the lip butters. i do belueve they have a coral color too.

I love Lip Butters too and they are on that BEST list. Milani has a new true red in Red Extreme in their new Lip Intense Liquid Lip Color.
