1. I'm obsessed with perfume and nail polish.
2. I consider myself to be pretty good at repairing computers.
3. Anything with a cracked texture gives me the heebie jeebies, whether it's cracked glass, dry cracked desert land, or crackle nail polish, etc. It creeps me out.
4. I read chemistry and psychology books as a hobby.
5. I love eating candy, and I love trying kinds of candy that I've never had before, especially kinds from other countries. My best friend when I was in 7th grade was from Mexico, and one time when she went on vacation she brought me some mexican candies. And another friend vacationed in Japan and brought me japanese candy. It was so cool!
6. I have major anxiety issues and am pretty much afraid of everything, especially driving.

Emily, that's so funny you say that, because I'm the same way! I've struggled with anxiety since I was a child, and it's gotten a lot better but it's still a nuisance. I got into a wreck two years ago and I haven't driven since, I've tried several times since then to get back behind the wheel but my anxiety gets so bad I just can't do it. I thought I was the only one, and it feels so good to know that I'm not

you are definitely not the only one. i have never driven in a car in my life. i have no idea how to operate a vehicle. my fiance pretty much will take me any where i have to go. work, store, shopping, everywhere. it is so hard. i just cannot bring myself to get in a car and drive. the fear seems completely irrational, but that's what anxiety is (some of it is the fight or flight instinct) BUT most of my fears is irrational thinking. you are not alone

Six interesting facts tag! 1. I'm a HUGE book nerd; I'll pretty much read anything but my favorites are Victorian literature. 2. I LOVE horror movies and shows about the paranormal, I especially love Dead Files, Ghost Hunters, and Haunted Collector. 3. I'm Japanese and French on my mom's side and German and French on my dad's. 4. I've struggled with anxiety since I was a child 5. I live with three dogs, three cats, twenty chickens, and two goats; my house is like a zoo but I wouldn't have it any other way 6. London is my absolute favorite place in the entire world, my dream is to live there someday

That's so good to know, Emily! It's so frustrating for me because I know my fears and anxieties are completely irrational; logically I know that, but the anxiety just overrides it every time. My parents are constantly pushing me to get back behind the wheel and I wish they would understand that it's not that easy. My plan is to move to a place with a good public transportation system so I won't NEED to drive

it is really tough. i live in long island and im about 30 mins from the city (manhattan) so i always think about how much easier it would be for me to live there, because no one i know that lives there has a car! haha.

magica- i was reading your 6 things and i wanted to comment on number 6. i have the same issue with anxiety. and i dont drive because of it : ( Having anxiety can be brutal. I've struggled with it the majority of my life, and I feel like it's gotten worse over the last few years, I feel like it's mostly social anxiety. But with driving, I do have my license, but I haven't driven ever since I got it. My problem is, I NEED to drive if I ever want to go to college (even though I'm afraid of that too), but I panic when I even THINK about getting behind the wheel. However if I'm driving in the middle of the night and there's no one on the road, I'm fine. ;D I REALLY wish I lived somewhere like New York where the majority of people don't have cars and use taxi's etc to get around. Life would be so much simpler.

yeah i live in new york and the public transportation sucks where i am (but im a half hr out of the city). my anxiety comes from separation anxiety. it moves from people though...when i was younger it was my mom, moved on to boyfriends when i was younger and now obviously my fiance. its so hard to explain because I just automatically think something horrible (like death) has happened to them if I havent heard from them in like an hr or sometimes even less. IT SUCKS. i have never even gotten into a driver's seat of a car. so I give you credit. I went to school and got my preschool teaching degree & luckily i live near the church where the preschool is so I can walk. Otherwise i dont know what I would do. I am turning 21 in a week and some change so I really need to take a trip to DMV and at least get my permit...I'm sooo terrified though.

Getting your permit is a breeze, you don't have to do any driving to get that. Or at least in my state you don't, but I think it's the same everywhere else. I'm 23 and I didn't get my license until I was 21. My anxiety comes from things which I'd rather not discuss out in the open but basically stems from my childhood. And I think it's gotten worse because I pretty much never go out in the real world unless I'm with someone, otherwise I stay inside.
