1) While I do have a wax obsession, my main obsessions are my twin girls. I pretty much talk about them non stop.
2) I was a choir geek in high school. Alto section leader junior and senior year, choir president senior year. I still go visit the classroom when I'm in town.
3) I have two cats named Roxy and Scooter.
4) I hate my apartment because I can't get an even burn on a candle in here.
5) My 21st bday was my "golden birthday". My car was in the shop, and it was storming horribly outside.. So my husband and I didn't do anything special.
6) I've been married since I was 18, Our 5 year wedding anniversary is this year.

I don't think I've said much about myself on here so I'll probably list basic stuff. Plus I can't think of anything cool, lol.
1. My name is Katie 2. I was born in California but I have lived in Arkansas for years 3. I work the evening shift in a hospital, and I keep the message board in the background to keep me sane! 4. I hoard wax, perfume, and nail polish 5. Because of my job, I don't have much time to pay attention to tv so I mostly watch reality shows, and silly shows that don't require much thinking or paying attention. 6. I have two sisters, and while I'm definitely not the prettiest out of all of us, people usually think I'm the youngest (I'm not!)

1. In 2 years I will get my Bachelor's degree in Nursing 2. I lived in Northern Philly for a year but couldn't stand living in that part of the city 3. I currently live in an ex-fraternity house with four other girls and 2 guys (who practically live here) 4. I've trained for four marathons but never actually signed up to run one....until this year when I signed up for the Marine Corps Marathon October 27th, 2013 5. My favorite show is Dallas - including the old ones, my mother had me sit down and watch pretty much every episode from the oldest to newest season 6. More than anything I'd love to be a nurse in our military; just have to convince my parents to agree

After the sixth candle in a row (from famous candle manufacturers) with no recognizable scent and no throw, I began to survey my favorite YouTube Beauty Gurus' candle favorites. Candles by Victoria was mentioned over and over. I have a suspicion that I may soon feel foolish for being so late coming to this party. My first order arrives next week.
Six things about me...
AbbieJolie is actually the name of my sweet, beautiful Blue Point Himalayan Cat. I borrowed it for my online use.
I am a very well controlled Rosacea patient.
I have some talent for seeing what goes together. This includes being able to prepare a skin care plan for nearly anyone who will tell me about their skin. I have enjoyed helping people with their self esteem and receiving notes about "the best skin" of their lives. With the Rosacea I had to learn about great skin care for sensitive skin, dry skin and oily skin. I believe that Rosacea patients should be medicated and of course there are other conditions that require medical intervention.
I have a laid back temperament and a glass half full outlook.
I am a very fortunate woman. Three months ago I had surgery to remove a tumor in my colon. I had colon cancer, but now I don't! Yea!
I love color! Pink, Purple and Green have been favorites since childhood.

You hate all pets? I suggest not saying THAT in public too often. Do you really mean that you had no pets growing up and are uncomfortable with anything with four legs, wings or fins?
You have my sympathy as you have never enjoyed the pleasure of another species' companionship. My cat is a tactile, auditory and visual delight for me. I'm pretty impressed at her game play with Games For Cats on my iPad too.

It's good to hear that your cat was placed in loving hands, though!

Not wanting or not liking are pretty far away on the scale from hating.
I feel fortunate to have found my charming cat on PetFinder.com. She was in a Rescue and I was lucky to be the first person to call with experience grooming a long haired cat!
She recently boarded at our Veterinary hospital while I was hospitalized for surgery. When we picked her up, I could tell she'd done it again. She'd clearly made her care taker fall in love with her. I saw it on the young woman's face.
I adore travel too. Including stops to see the things that make my heart sing, instead of simply going the usual route, has served me well.
Throw pillows are a unique fascination. Throw pillows and candles...sounds totally inviting and cozy!

I really enjoyed reading about everyone Our differences make us unique. I have a good sized dark oval shaped birth mark on my right arm by my elbow. Growing up it made me very self conscience and I would always try to hide it. I have heard many things said about it, "ouch" from little kids as they point at it and "gross" from kids in school. My favorite was being told it was lucky. Fingers crossed ;)I hardly notice it anymore. I was "almost" namd Sunshine Phew! No offense to anyone with this name, let's just say it wouldn't have suited me. Instead my mother gave me the middle of Dawn. I hate touching chalk, it gives me the heebie jeebies! I won $25 from the Publishers Clearinghouse once. There goes my chance at the big one. I use to make cold process soaps. I don't have time or space for that hobby anymore. Because of that hobby I have come to appreciate the hard work and love that goes into handmade things. I am a stay home mom with three kids, ages 14 1/2, 8 1/2, and 2 1/2. Yes we will have kids in the house FOREVER!

This was fun to read, so I'm reviving a sort of old thread (last post was in June!)
1. I have played piano since I was 6, saxophone since I was 8 - I'm 26 now. Because of this, I am a HUGE music snob. lol
2. I met my first boyfriend on an online video game, I moved 3,200 miles away to Oregon to move in with him without ever even meeting him in person first.
3. My first boyfriend got me into another online video game where I met my now fiance 6 years ago, I drove three hours from Michigan to Ohio to meet him and just never left lmao!
4. I tell people I'm a stay at home mom of two cats, which always gets a laugh and usually the response of "cats are easier than kids, kids are a lot of work, blahblahblah" and I laugh and say "I know right, who wants kids lol" Secretly? I want kids so bad that I don't care what it takes to get them, and have been trying -everything- in my power to make it happen for several years now.
5. I LOVE to cook. I make everything from scratch, breads, pies, pastas.. -everything- I really pride myself on being such a great cook.
6. I really wish I could pack up everything I own and leave the USA. I'm not sure where I'd go, but somewhere people aren't so negative and hateful to everyone, where politics aren't so backward and healthcare isn't so horrible -- maybe under a rock? lol

I just now found this thread and I've been here for over a year. What is wrong with me lol?
What kind of saxaphone can you play? I played the alto sax for two years, but decided to give it up to do more charity work when I was a teenager.
And I think I need to start playing video games. Sounds like prime real estate lol.
And unfortuneately people are terrible no matter what country you go to, however there are lots of wonderful people hiding amongst all of them.
