I'm new to the CBV family. I haven't ordered anything yet, as I'm planning a huge scent shot haul for about 2 weeks from now. How do you create a wish list on the website and what bakery scents do you CBV veterans suggest? Thanks in advance!

I am waiting on my 2nd order to arrive (hopefully Monday!). My first order consisted of mainly scent shots but I did order the gooey cinnamon bun candle. It is to die for! I have had a few issues with the candle burning fully to the sides-it seems to want to tunnel & the throw is isn't as heavy as I would like. Folks on this board & the CBV ADDICTS FB page have suggested theat I let it cure longer & that is what I am doing. I have had it for 3 weeks or so & I will try it again in another week. The "bakery" scent shots that I have melted that I would recommend are: Pumpkin Apple Cinnamon Bread, Honey Spice Cake,APple Gingerbread SPice, Cinnamon Donuts...Amish Quilt is a nice spicy, cinnamon scent that I fell in love with & have ordered in a 9oz candle,SSS,& a pack of 3 shots. I don't have any doughy-type or buttery type bakery scents..YET! But I have ordered Granny's Apron, Cajun Cornbread & similar scents, so I can let you know about those next week. I used these boards,FB & you tube reviews to get scent suggestions for my 1st order. CBV has a very enthusiastic community of followers who are very generous with their knowledge. They were/are valuable resource!

All of my favorites are in my signature. I recommend signing up for the newsletter and placing your order on September 1st and using the 15% off discount code that is in the newsletter. Make sure you hit recalculate after you put in the code or you won't get the discount. Make sure to update us on what you think of your order when you get it and welcome to the board.

thanks! I was having a hard enough time waiting for two weeks, but I guess one more week won't hurt (if I can get the 15% code). I have a pretty long list of sect shots I want so I'm pretty excited. Do you all have any idea what the shelve life on the scent shot is? I'm looking at buying about 80 and don't want them to go bad- I'll probably place another order two weeks after the first. Lurking and dreaming about CBV candles has become a huge obsession of mine. lol!

I am led to believe that scent shots don't go bad. I actually asked the same question a few days ago or so! Some people have tarts that are years old and if anything, smell stronger. Plus a lot of us have soooooo many scent shots, I currently over 100, some are almost a year old, and they all smell fantastic. Some even smell better than when I first got them. Welcome to the boards, by the way!

I have a scent shot that I got in 2005 or 2006 (sweet snow) that smells as good today as it did back then. The only thing that Victoria suggests is that you keep them out of sunlight as the colors will fade - but, the scents last and last.
I love Victoria's bakery scents - the top of my list right now is Granny's Apron which is Zucchini Bread and Granny's Pie Crust. Granny's Pie Crust takes a little longer to cure, but the wait is worth it - it is one strong scent. I also love Frosted Lime Cupcakes, Berry Blackberry Cobbler, Blueberry Cheesecake, Lemon Poundcake and Chocolate Chip Cookies. You really can't go wrong with any of her bakery scents.

I didn't know there would be 15% off on 8/1 & I get the newsletter! Does she typically offer 15 % on the 1st of the month? I know about the 10% off anytime code...

15% off would be GREAT! I've been dreaming and dreaming about mounds of scent shots! Can't wait to scratch this itch. Good to know that they don't go bad!
