Hi everyone!
My name is Shelby and I am new here. (: I received my first order today and I was just curious about curing times. Do all candles need to cure and for how long? In my order, I got a S'more Galore, Chocolate Fudge Cinnamon Sugar Cookie Surprise, Creamy Chocolate Caramel Latte, and a Peppermint Bark. How long do I need to cure them before I start burning? I don't know how long I can wait! (:

hey! As you may know I got my first order yesterday. I'll be honest, I wasn't impressed, and was kind of regretting spending the money. I knew there was a cure time, but I'd figured they'd smell better initially. BUT today they already smell a lot better, and I can see (smell?) the potential. I asked about cure times yesterday and everyone said to wait about 2-3 weeks. I can't wait to smell them then! I kind of want to tape my box shut until then and be surprised, but I know I'll want to smell the progress every day!
I got a chocolate one as well and thought it smelled so weird and artificial yesterday and it already smells a lot more like actual chocolate!

Totally agree with Emily!! I try my hardest not to judge a scent off cold throw. Lots of scents smell totally different warm then they do cold. That way all of the notes in the scents come out to their fullest and usually create wonderfulness!!

I also find that a lot of scents really come out when they're warmed up even if they haven't been sitting for a while. However, you can't go wrong with letting them sit for a bit. Obviously, the longer the better. A scent I didn't even like very much at all was absolutely AMAZING to me after I had it for a couple of weeks. By the way, you'll love Peppermint Bark! One of my favs.

The curing thing sounds so crazy (I was trying to explain it to my husband last night and he still doesn't get it), but it's so true, you'll be amazed when you let them sit for a while! If you like caramel, I think you'll love Caramelized Pralines!
