I am thinking about getting some SSS in a common scent that most people like, separating it all into decorated baby food jars, and handing them out as Christmas gifts to some of the ladies in our teen group at church. It's hard to buy something for everybody. I thought this would be a neat and "cheaper" way to make sure everybody got something, and also introduce them to CBV. What would you guys think if you were to get something like that as a gift? (Be honest)

I think this is a great idea! The only hiccup might be if they don't melt.

That is why I was going to go with the SSS isn't that a softer wax? Oh I hope so

It is a softer wax and that is a great idea. I think what Shannon meant might be a problem is if the girl's aren't familiar with tart warmers or wax. But I still think it is a grand idea. Plus it can introduce them to candles and wax and such in a safe way.

This is a really neat idea! I have four sisters and bought each of them one of the 4 oz mini jelly jar candles. The candle wax is the same as the SSS, both are a soft wax compared to the harder scent shot wax. I figured if my sisters wanted to burn the candle they could or if they had one of the bulb type warmers they could scoop and melt the wax easily. I'll include instructions just in case. I wish I could buy them all a CBV warmer and get at least one of them addicted. > or O:) you decide...

This is how I'm introducing my family to CBV, Here's what I did. I know this is a board specifically for cbv, but I was wondering around a craft store in the mall AC Moore. I stumbled into the wax isles and found some of the tea light warmers for $1.99 a piece, they are the ceramic ones that you can paint yourself if you choose to or leave them white. I then found a pack of 150 tea lights for $5 I had 15 people to buy for and then I found a coupon for that store and saved 30% on my whole order. I'm wrapped up the warmers in printed cardboard boxes I found in the store think they were $2 for a pack of 5 boxes. What I did was divide the tea lights up between the 15 people and packed a warmer and tea lights in each box. I'm going to be placing an order for several cbv scent shots probably the 3 pack for each person, I am then placing the 3 scent shots in the same scent in a little gift bag so I'll have 30 gifts all together. Every one will get a box, now here is the twist I will write numbers on the little cards attached to the string/handle of the gift bag 1-15 and randomly hand each person a card with a number and pick out their gift bag by number, if so then lets say we see numbers 1-5 open and sniff their scents shots when number 6 gets to choose their gift they can then swap with numbers 1-5 without opening his/her bag to see the scent. I hope I didn't confuse anyone reading this. I think it would be a great idea get everyone to have some fun and an awesome idea to introduce my family to cbv.

Shay, I really love your idea with the SSS. I would absolutely love a gift like that. Especially in a hand decorated jar. I think you will definitely convert someone. Can I borrow your idea for gifts to my coworkers?

Mistermister your idea sounds so fun! You will have to let us know if there were any scents that got more love than the others. I had a sniff my wax stash party with just my sisters and mom and found it very interesting how different all of our noses were. Well, one of my sisters and my mom liked a lot of the same scents but we all seemed to have our own sense of scent style.
