Funniest thing that happened to you in January? Not really the haha kind of funny butl with that wicked polar vortex we actually ended up losing power, luckily it was only for a few hours but it was at midnight when it went out so my mom and I busted out all my candles. We only ended up lighting maybe 3 of them all 8oz jars. But as soon as I lit my Sweet Snow my mom could tell within like 1 minute that it was a minty smell. It worked that fast lol. We agreed it was a good thing I got into candles so much because we have plenty to light in case it happens again. Now we just need to stock up on some more lighters lol.
Another funny thing that happened actually happened in December but I thought it was worth mentioniong. Since we didn't have cable for about a week when we first moved in we just set up our tvs and dvd players throughout the house so needless to say we rented a lot of movies. Well at the movie store on one particular trip I wandered away from my mother to look at something then came back and I walked up behind her and started talking as I normally would and the woman turned around and she was most certainly not my mother. I happened to scare her at first but we had a good laugh once we realized the mistake. She was wearing a denim jacket just like mother and was the right height and everything so from the back she looked like her. So after the funny mix up I find my mom tell her about what happened, and we moved on still browsing the store. Once again we get separated and once again I start walking towards the same woman not paying attention but luckily before I got to her she pointed in front of her and said, "Your mom is over there." Lol I totally almost mixed them up again in less than five minutes.
Which books have you been reading? Harry Potter And The Chamber Of Secrets, Mother Angelica's personal story, and of course still working on getting through The Bible for the first time.
Movies you watched in January? The Call, The Perks Of Being A Wallflower, Precious, For Colored Girls, Tyler Perry's I Can Do Bad All By Myself, Wreck It Ralph, Hotel Transylvania, 10 Years, Waiting To Exhale, Tyler Perry's Madea's Big Happy Family, The Family That Preys, and Why Did I Get Married Too?, Diary Of A Mad Black Woman, The Amazing Spider Man, Men In Black 3,The Muppets, O Brother Where Art Thou? and Flowers In The Attic
Something that made you proud of yourself? Does going an entire two months without internet count as something to be proud of? No? Well then I guess something that made me proud is that I actually started looking at church's to go to and went to mass on Sunday in one I really like.
Which games did you play? I played a lot of free cell since I had a computer but no internet lol.
Did you travel anywhere or go anywhere new? Well we were supposed to go to Florida but had to cancel because of my mom's health and the weather as for somewhere new I don't know if this counts but I went to a local bar/family club; not sure what it is called since it is like those orders like The American Legion or like The Moose, or like The VFW not sure what those are classified as, but I went to one. It really wasn't new because my grandparents used to be members and took me and my brothers there for their family functions a lot when we were little but I haven't been there in years and so we went on New Year's Eve just for something different. Wasn't really my scene because there wasn't anybody my age there or anyone I really knew but the band was better than I expected and it was a nice change of pace and I had my family and some of their friends there. So kind of a new place kind of an old one.
What new food have you tried? I have been seriously munching on Sweet Baby Ray's Beef Jerky. Most jerky I find to be way too spicy for me even the original slim jims, but Sweet Baby Ray's is just the right amount of sweet tangyness. I love it! Oh and Pillsbury Milk Chocolate Brownies are some of the best brownies I have had. My mother and I loved them and seriously pigged out on them. Oh and Chex Mix has trail mix bags that I loved and also Hershey's Pot Of Gold chocolates are amazing!
Which songs have you been listening to the most? How To Save A Life by The Fray is one I have been revisiting a lot. Epiphany by Staind, Gone Gone Gone by Phillip Phiilips, A Thousand Years by Christina Perri, and Sweet Child Of Mine by Taken By Trees. I love the cover it is so sweet and beautiful.
What did you learn? The lesson I learned was a hard one for me and one I'm not sure I really like but, I learned that sometimes people can get mad at you for reasons that you dont even understand. And that no matter if you apologize or try to make it right they will still stay mad at you and there is nothing you can do about it. Sometimes they just have to hold on to their anger and while it hurts to have them mad at you as long as you tried to make amends that is all you can do. The rest is up to them. You can't make someone talk to you or forgive you all you can do is be open to forgiveness and wait.
Favorite CBV products this month? My tart warmers have definitely been used a lot last month. Since we moved in my mother hated the smell of the house. She said it smelt like clean old people house lol. I didn't mind it because it wasn't a bad smell it was just like dried lavender soap to me, but my mother commented on the smell almost everytime we entered the house so needless to say the second night we were here my tarts and tart warmers were here with us lol. I think the place is starting to smell like home now though.
