As I've mentioned before I'm pretty nosy, so I wanna know what are you up to? Any plans for the day or something in the future? What is going on with you guys in your neck of the woods? Things are good here, finally it looks like we are getting a break from the rain and the snow so the next few days look sunny though it will still be a little chilly in the 40's. I'm going to be blogging the scents that I tried before lent started so I will have a review up sometime soon for you all, other than that I'm just taking it easy today and babysitting.

I am glad you are all getting a break in the weather Today my husband took the day off, yay because he works weekends a LOT. He is taking our son to the toy store and I'm taking our girls to the book store. We have always rewarded our kids with books for good grades and both are doing great in school. Hopefully the time change doesn't mess up going to bed tonight too bad. Have a great day everyone!

I hear you, warmer weather is somewhere in our midst. That groundhog needs to be fired! HA! I'm still getting settled in our new apartment and trying to unpack the massive mountain pile of clothes. Really challenging since it's still around 50's so it's enough to have layers and some of our winter clothes. =0/ The weekend has been an errand day and trying out new scents! I see how everyone has been lemming for a wick trimmer now, - I get it.

That's wonderful about your kids Lisa. I'm glad they are doing well and I know the time change probably threw a lot of people off so I hope your kids were able to adjust well.
Chelscbvforever: Spring cleaning is always a great idea. A pain, but once you are finished it is worth it. We just moved to a new home that had a lot of flowers but I fear they are all dead from the below zero temps we were hammered with. Unfortunately my mother and I know nothing about planting and every time we try and plant something we kill it except for one which has managed to hold on. We won this pretty plant in a box so we are going to try that once it gets a little warmer and hope for the best. I would like to plant some Marigolds but as I said know nothing of planting. I guess I better get my but in gear and start learning. I hope your plants are thriving!
Hanna: Unpacking is a pain, especially when you have to decide where to put things so I feel for you. I'm excited that warmer clothes are so close to coming but it still feels a long way out. I don't know this winter has been so long that it feels like spring might not come. I'm like still expecting more snow. Haha Perhaps just a little too cautious.

I have been staying busy teaching and tutoring! Weekends are mostly spent relaxing with my boyfriend and then Sundays I lesson plan, grade, and tutor.
But besides that I'm excited for warmer weather! It was 70 today... sadly we are supposed to get 2-4 inches tonight! Of snow that is, how crazy is that!? I have next week off of work so that will be awesome!

Sorry to hear you are so busy but at least it is in a good way. You are in the state next to me so I can relate with the up and downs of the temps here in the Midwest. One day it's 70 the next it's 25, and it looks like it is going to keep going up and down. Spring has been such a tease this year lol. Today I'm going to do some much needed cleaning. My mother had her heart operation 2 days ago so she is on the mend. Sadly we think the meds she was on made her sick all last night so I'm going to keep a close eye on her today and try to clean because my mother loves a clean house. Not that this one is filthy but we are both slightly ocd lol.

I hope your mom is healing quickly and that she isn't feeling sick today. I love a clean a house but I don't love to clean house It is so hard to imagine that the weather can change so drastically from one day to the next! Mother Nature must be seriously hormonal this year. We are in a drought here in CA but like the weather man said "if we are going to be in a drought we are doing it in style", he was talking about the mid 70 degree temps (soon to be 80 this weekend) we've been having. My fear is for a horribly hot summer or early summer. In case anyone is interested here are the books my girls picked out - Kira my 15 year old - Lolita Robinson Crusoe Prince and The Pauper Tarzan Of The Apes The Brothers Karamazov Mia, 9 picked out - The Land Of Stories - The Enchantress Returns Dork Diaries - Unhappy Heartbreak The Subtle Knife (book after The Golden Compass) I hope everyone has a relaxing weekend. Of course unless you need to get stuff done, I wish you a productive weekend.

I hope your mom has a speedy recovery! Heart surgery sounds really tough and those medications sounds rough. Warm wishes are headed your way. I too, also need to clean the house but I haven't had the motivation to. =0/
I see a few classics that your kids chose! They have great taste in books. Kids nowadays need to pick up more on books than electronics. So much emphasis on technology nowadays and it doesn't really stimulate imagination that a child needs.

Thanks for the well wished for my mother! She is healing well and the reaction to the meds is over now thankfully. Lisa I agree with Hanna your kids picked out some classics though I haven't read any of them I've heard a lot about a few of them. In particular Lolita lol. I'm an avid reader though this year I haven't read as much as I usually do, right now I'm reading a Young Adult dystopian novel called The Offering by Kimberly Derting. It is the third book in the series and I think the last one as far as I know. It is called The Pledge series. Not too bad so far. And because I have book ADHD I am also reading Harry Potter And The Chamber Of Secrets (almost done) and also the autobiography of Mother Angelica. Quite the different spread there lol. One book for every mood I guess. I've still got a lot of cleaning to do and I'm halfway done with my next scent review. Today will be a busy day but I hope to have my round robin review up for you guys soon and also maybe post the new candle picks up for you all. We will see how the day goes, if not I should be able to get them up Sunday since it is a rest day.

I'm very proud of my kids for being big readers. I know we are lucky because lota of kids don't enjoy it. Harry Potter gets re-read over and over again by both of my daughters and may be the only thing the two of them agree upon. They love to read so much that it has gotten them into trouble like reading instead of getting ready for school, sneaking books in class ect. The funny thing is my husband and I are not the biggest readers. We were both agaisnt t.v. when we were young, unmarried and with out children. We read Dean Koontz books back then.
I'd like to say technology isn't big in our house but it is to an extent. My husband and both girls love video games (not the shoot em up type) heck even my toddler can work a tablet (his dads) better than me. We are far behind most families since we don't have a flat screen and only our teen has a cell phone. I can't believe how many little kids have phones these days. My teen doesn't have FB, instagram, twitter ect., her choice. Technology can be scary.
Okay I dusted today. Despite the fact we are really good about keeping things pretty uncluttered this house needs a deep cleaning.

Haha, that's awesome that they love to read that much! I agree on how technologically advanced these kids are, my previous director used to talk about how his 3 yr old plays with his own ipad and I'm baffled. A toddler with their own ipad? Crazy. I do love my share of video games. I think they can be educational and healthy in moderation.
Today was such a gorgeous day. We went to the farmers market and an arts and craft event. We got a bunch of fresh and local groceries and I got two acrylic pieces for my work desk. It ended up with a huge scare though. I was burning fizzy pop for 30 mins or so and we went out to get dinner. I blew it out and checked on it a couple mins later and left for dinner. My boyfriend and I came back with a fresh lime smelling apartment only horrified to find the candle relit. =0 ( I know the chances are still there but now every time I light up a candle I'm going to have to cover it with a lid or a plate. Talk about paranoid. Boo.

Lisa, I love video games and they can be cathartic in moderation. I still have our old school Nintendo from way back in the day when the games were basically Mario, Zelda, and Donkey Kong lol. I watch a few tv series, I like to have it on as background noise when I work * I'm a nanny for those that don't know* so since I'm home a lot it is easy for me to dvr something and wait until I have to work to watch it when the baby is playing well by himself. I'm fortunate that he is such a good baby actually because he will sit and play so well by himself that a lot of the times he doesn't need me for much lol. We still play a lot together and he sits in my lap and lets me rock him in a chair but for the most part he does his own thing. I guess I should be glad he is so independent but sometimes I feel like I'm not really working much lol. I'm totally strange and like to watch tv series on my computer though. Not American ones though. I like to watch asian dramas. I find they are much funnier and cuter than the ones we have here. Don't get me wrong we've got some great shows, but I just like the lighter more modest side of the asian dramas. The subtitles don't bother me and I find myself engrossed in their plot lines better. Sadly I think certain American shows are more focused on how much sex appeal can we throw in there and how over the top can we take this? Maybe that is just me though. So I like the dramas especially the South Korean ones. So funny and cute lol. Hanna: An arts and crafts event sounds like fun. I'm glad you found something you liked for your desk. And the farmers markets always have the best products in my humble opinion. Then again I'm a country girl so farmer's markets are here everywhere lol. That is scary about your Fizzy Pop candle. It is rare but that does happen now and then. Thankfully everything was okay though. That has happened to a few of us here too. I'm more of a melter than a burner so I often have forgotten when I left my warmer on and have even left it on overnight before. I try to be more careful now, but accidents do happen from time to time.

The old school videos are our favorites. My husbands hobby is an arcade cabinet. It has like every game you could every think of LOL. It doesn't get played as much as you would think but the nice thing is you can play music from it too since it is run by a computer. It's pretty neat actually the best way to play the old fighting games. I understand about the toddler you watch playing well by himself. My son does play well by himself to extent. Toddlers can be sneaky and you never what trouble they can get into. I have to yet to replace the art he knocked off the wall in my living room with something other than a safe decal. Fingers crossed he will be a big reader like the girls. Reading is such a quite and safe activity Cayla I think that is neat you are watching Asian drama's. Subtitles don't bother me either. Pretty much every show I watch is not kid friendly. Compared to a lot of people I don't watch much t.v. and we don't ever watch sports in this house. Hanna, I'd love to go to a craft fair or farmers market! When we would visit my brother in-law just an hour north of us we would stop at farms that sold fresh produce and always loaded up. I know some people leave their melters on 24/7 but I'm paranoid. I fell asleep on the couch one night and left the melter on. I was panicky but it was fine. When I burn a candle I make sure that I can see it and watch the clock so I don't burn it too long. Again paranoid.
