So I was out Saturday doing yard work with a friend for about 2 and a half hours and I have been incredibly sunburnt since then. My shoulder are the worst. I keep putting aloe cooling gel on it and taking ibuprofen every 6 hours but I still hurt like the dickens. Does anyone have any home remedies or just general tips on sunburns? Any help would be much appreciated. I have 0 pain tolerance lol.
Just a reminder everyone where tons of sunblock this summer even if it isn't that hot out and you don't think you will be out long. It is better to be safe then sorry.

My mom always blended cucumbers and slathered it on me when I was younger!

Youch!!! Sunburns are the worst! Aloe fresh or the kind that claims to be good for sunburns in a bottle is what we always used growing up. I bet the blended cucumber would feel good. I am the only one in my family (husband and kids) who burns. My husband is 1/2 Puerto Rican and Italian making him pretty dark year round. My Irish/English/German/Dutch/ with a pinch of Native American means I turn red pretty easy even when hot. Even though my kids aren't very dark, they always have some color in their skin and tan very easily. I'm jealous

Thanks for the tips guys. Jenn I never thought of trying cucumbers but it sounds refreshing. I bet it would smell really good too. I think I might have a touch of sun poisoning. I felt sick this morning and I got burnt Saturday it is Tuesday and I'm still flaming red and in pain so mom thinks I got close to a 2nd degree burn and I was only out there for two and a half to three hours. I'm about 95% German so I burn up like bacon. I have no immunity to the sun. i'm insanely jealous of people who can tan even just a little bit. I come in only 2 colors, pasty white or lobster red lol.

Oh gosh sun poisoning sounds dreadful! I hope you are feeling much better this evening. I surely don't know how to treat sun poisoning but maybe I should look it up and be prepared.
Any form of exercise, even moderate turns my face red. My family's un-PC nickname for me is "chief red-face". They like to sing the song "What Makes The Red Man Red?" from Peter Pan to me when my face starts turning that ever familiar crimson color I've become famous for. :/
I sure hope you're feeling better Cayla!

Thanks guys I'm feeling better. I'm still red but now I just have a little sting left. Went out and bought some sunblock so we won't have a repeat of this episode. I have so much I wanna do outside, but I'm a little timid of the sun. Now at least I will be prepared.

Professional swimmers will always purchase high-quality women’s swimsuits. This is because of the fact that the quality swimsuits are going to reduce drag while swimming. Meaning that the women will be able to swim faster when you are wearing a high-quality swimsuit than when you are wearing a low-quality swimsuit.
