OK, I was definitely getting weirded out when I didn't like the smell of Sophie Bell the first couple of weeks. It's after 3 weeks of cure time and I'm starting to like it now. At first I didn't smell too much of the floral, smidge of grape, and definitely something medicinal about it. I heard a lot of rave reviews about it so my head was scratching. =0P
Cayla- I think Fizzy Pop might be a great contender for those neutral but fresh scents for the spring. I also head over heels for Lemon Mergingue Pie and Breath of Ireland (I also smelled Cottage Garden and it's definitely one of the base smells of this).
Jenn- Congratulations on the apartment! Whoo hoo, I bet that's huge pressure off of your chest. Good luck with your job search, I hate doing it each time. It seriously sucks all emotional and mental things out of you. I was in the midst of searching for a job because I needed a career move and I definitely am grateful now. Not so happy during the hunt though. Lisa- I think that's so sweet that your child's school hosts a Teacher Appreciation Week. There needs to be a lot more of that around the schools in the US. I think it's weird she didn't like the candle - but then again I was neutral about my first CBV order so maybe it takes awhile for the bug to kick in. =0P I too, also need a dental appointment this month. They are never fun!

Oh Amanda, I just saw that you participated in a marathon! That's so awesome! I live in an area where there are a lot of runners and bikers. I'm always so jealous to see them, they look like their life is in order and pulled together. I currently work out during my lunch breaks for barre class and I eventually want to start training for marathons. I'm not much of an endurance training, I suck at running as well as swimming so it will definitely be a challenge. Any tips you can give it will be appreciated!

Cayla, my oldest daughter never had teacher appreciation week at any of her schools either. When my Mia was in kindergarten one of the parents got the class to donate money to buy the teacher a Coach handbag. She somehow was able to get a good deal but it was still pricey. Needless to say the gift was loved. I'm el'cheapo when it comes to purses and sunglasses for myself. With my oldest we would give a gift at the end of the year, mostly gift cards or bath and body stuff.
Thank you Chelscbvforever! My sister is a very cute pregnant lady and I can't wait to meet my new nephew. I hope they figure out a middle name before he is born. I'm sorry to hear that your friends are being stinkers about the lack of alcohol on your special day. I rarely have a drink (like one in a blue moon) and it really bothers me that alcohol has to be a part of every social get together with most people. If people need alcohol to have fun with others they may want to reconsider the people they hang out with. Sorry I'll get off my soapbox.
Yay Jenn on getting a place! Sounds like we wont be neighbors but if you are moving more north we wont be too far away either. Fingers crossed and wishing you well finding a fantastic job!
Hanna, sorry I posted before seeing your post. Teachers have a rough job! I hear too many parents (one I'm related to) who like to blame the school for their kids failures ect. As parents we are the first teachers our children will know and our job of teaching at home never ends. Class sizes are so big now, I can't imagine how hard of a job teaching must be. My 4th grader has 34 kids in her class! I feel lucky that my kids love school. They've had plenty of wonderful teachers to thank for their passion for learning.

I have a home!!!! I just turned in my holding deposit for the apartment! It's not the original city I wanted but at least I'll have a roof over my head! The place is like an hour north of where I currently live but it's still near a couple of big cities so hopefully I'll get a job! (: It's also not pretty as the first place I found but they were being very picky about everything. I've been looking for a place to live since February and I'm glad I'm finally set on moving One thing crossed off my list (: I hope all is going well with everyone and their goals! Congratulations Jenn! It must be such a relief not to have to worry about getting a place anymore but now comes the even worse part: packing and moving and unpacking. I feel your pain Jenn. Here is hoping you get a new job soon! Sending you good vibes! Yesterday I ordered two jelly jars for my sponsors and I decided to go ahead and get one in Granny's Pie Crust for my mother's sponsor and then Sophie Belle for my sponsor. Fingers crossed that they will both like them and I can make more cbv converts. We got some things put up but we still have a lot more. We are thinking of going antique shopping to look for a nice bookshelf because we have a ton of books just lying around in boxes and I am thinking of getting a tall standing drawer or dresser to put my shots in for my room. My cabinet has plenty of space in the kitchen but is kind of a pain t bend down and get in and go through all my plastic sterilite drawers and show boxes lol.

Okay so Sunday I had written like a whole bunch of stuff but the boards wouldn't let me post anything grrrr... So let me try again and hope this works lol.
May is almost over, how is everyone doing with their goals?
Sunday my mother and I had our Rite Of Welcoming into our church and it went great and so we are really looking forward to the upcoming Sundays and the new people we will meet and the new things we will learn. I'm looking forward to trying to get involved more in the community and doing more charitable works.
As for the move I've only got a few boxes left, but Jenn is totally leaving me in the dust lol. I'm a super bad procrastinator and I'm just really bad at deciding where to put things. Most of what is left is decorative things to put on walls and books that we still need to find a book case for. We have all our stuff set up to go on the walls but my mother and I are at odds on how to decorate it so it is just hanging out on the extra couch for now until we can make up our minds. Then we will be finished! Though I do want to go through all our Christmas and Halloween decorations and get them sorted and set aside so come the colder months I know where everything is and can just grab what I need with ease.
Weight loss is going slowly but at least it's going now. For the first half of the month I fell of the wagon HARD. My mother and I discovered our favorite mom and pop doughnut shop is now open until 6pm when it used to be only open till like 10:30am and we never felt like getting up and out that early so we didn't have doughnuts very often. Well the past two weeks we have had a lot of doughnuts. Since we went so few we would always only get our favorite doughnuts we knew we liked, but lately we branched out and tried lots of new things from there and let's just say the guilt has finally set in lol. So we went to the store last weekend and bought mainly healthier foods. I made some homemade trail mix and some homemade oatmeal raisin cookies to replace the sweet doughnut cravings. But needless to say we are getting back on track now and I haven't been melting bakery scents so I don't get any cravings lol.
How are all of you guys doing with your goals? How has your month of May been?

Unpacking is such a huge pain in the butt. So I totally understand it Cayla! I love baked goods as well! I swear, if I ever develop an allergy to gluten I would be forever miserable.
I actually didn't have specific goals for May but I ended up consolidating my 401K and organized my closet. =0P I can't believe June is just around the corner. WOW!

Wow great job Hanna those are actually both huge achievements! I don't even wanna think of 401ks lol. And my closet...let's just say she's seen better days. I've been too busy adding to it then cleaning it up. I don't clothe shop that much but I needed some nice clothes for church so this week I took the plunge and finally ordered something online. I just hope they fit and all because I've never tried this site before and I hate sending things back.
