Happy Anniversary CBV!
My cart had been filling for weeks so I was ready to order last night. Grabbed two of the Big Bowl candles in, no surprise, Southern Nights and Pecan Pie. My only problem is that yellow and brown are the wax colors for those scents and among my very least favorite colors, so I want a wax color choice available for these big candles.
Aren't the Slice Some Pies cute?

Happy Anniversary CBV! Thanks for posting this Lisa! I am so bad at checking the cbv addicts page and my email. I just don't think about them that much. I need to work on that. I'm plotting my order now. It will be a very small order for me since I'm trying to cut back a bit.

Abbie - I wanted to let you know the pecan pie mini jar smells just like a jar full of fresh pecans! It smells really great. Can't wait to cure!
As for the sale, surprisingly I'm going to not order. I got plenty of wax and candles so far to keep me entertained for now. Watch me kick myself a few months later though. =0P Can't wait for that round robin!

Abbie I love the pies! I have hoping Victoria would come up with a pie and hooray she did! The strawberries look so good and I think one with pumpkins would be perfect for fall. I wasn't going to order because I ordered in April for my birthday. Well I'm weak! I can't handle these sales that last for days I have enough wax to get me through the year (at least). I kept my order under $40 and only bought scent shots in new to me scents.

Hi everyone! New to CBV candles....I received my first candle order the other day and love them. I am plotting another candle order for today to take advantage of this sale......I have been reading about "curing" and from what I read on the website only 3 days is needed, do you guys recommend longer?? What do you think of the scents: cinnamon donut, pink noel, buttercream cruch, country berry hotcakes and apple cinnamon butter... Thank so much!! Welcome to the board lilly! We are so glad you joined us. As for curing it is a big point of contention for everyone. Some scents can be ready within a few days, but there a lot of scents that will take longer than that especially bakery scents. The rule of thumb is to smell it and if it smells like how it should then it is ready, if it doesn't or has just an off note even if it is a small note then put it away and let it cure. I like to give mine at the very least a week and a half. The longer your scents sit the more they settle and come to their full potential. But waiting is hard so don't worry if you accidentally melt or light too soon when it isn't ready. Just blow it out or turn off your warmer (depending if you melt or buy candles) and leave it alone for a little while. It will still cure while it sits. Cinnamon Donuts and Apple Cinnamon Butter are two of my favorite bakery scents. I am a big bakery fan too. Cinnamon Donuts smells just like how you would think only the cinnamon is a tad bit strong at first so don't be afraid when you first get it. Just let it cure and it should lose some of it's sharpness. It smells like cinnamon sugar fried donuts and has a really strong scent throw. Apple Cinnamon Butter smells just like how it sounds too. It has only a hint of sweet cinnamon in it so you don't have to worry about overpowering cinnamon and the apple smells like real smooth spiced apple butter and it too has a pretty good scent throw. Pink Noel is really nice though takes just a wee bit to cure. It smells like a "cool" cupcake. It is mainly a sweet cupcake scent but it does have this undertone of like a "cool" note because of the mint but doesn't smell minty at all. It is very sweet and has a decently strong scent throw. Buttercream Crunch I personally didn't care that much for but only because I'm not a fan of buttercream. If you like rich creamy vanilla buttery scents then you will most likely love it too. I hope this helps you some sweetie.

AS for the sale I made a very small purchase. I decided to get two Jelly Jars for me and my mother's church sponsors. Then I just bought like five scent shots that were new to me since I still have quite a bit to melt.I'm having trouble recalling them and I JUST placed the order yesterday. My memory is terrible but granted it was a quick impulse order. So I didn't consult my wishlist that much. I know I got Volcano, Satsuma Punch, Cozy Kitchen, and quite honestly I can't remember the other two I got lol. That is really sad but I'm kinda spacey today.

hello Lillyangelcake! One of my favorite bakery scents is country berry hot cakes, it has a great throw, and I get berries first then a maple pancake scent in the background.

Hanna, be patient for maybe four months and then light that Pecan Pie candle --- so yummy! You'll be ordering something else in that scent I expect. That is going to be my primary scent all Fall! Love it! It is not exceptionally helpful to a dieter, I confess.
Lily, I have yet to reach my one-year anniversary here, but I want to suggest that you order perhaps fruits and florals in addition to bakery scents. I just ordered all the bakery scented candles I plan to have cured by Thanksgiving. I think they will take four to six months. The Winter Bakery Candles I ordered last August and September were not ready by Christmas. Non-bakery Cold December Night was! I like it! My Caramelized Pralines Supreme Bake Shop Candle cured to full glory in four months. I believe my first Pecan Pie Candle cured in four months as well. I found Pecan Pie to smell like a fabulously amped up version of the wonderful Caramelized Pralines. I recommend it.
Most of my fruits and florals have been more like six weeks on cure time! CBV will often pour more than one of a scent shot and keep the others of that scent for future orders. If you are fortunate, now and then you'll get one of these scent shots that have spent their curing time home at CBV before you ordered it. That is the exception to the rule that all our goodies are made to order after we order.
Several orders into my CBV experience I began to file Scent Shots and store candles and develop a pinch of patience. Now I finally have a box of Spring things to check in mid-May and a box of Fall-Winter things that I ordered too late to cure for last Christmas or that I am purposely ordering for use next Fall and Winter. Some of the Bakery Scents I have tried are so so fabulous when cured, but they really tested my patience. The Fruits and Florals and Perfume scents were so much faster to become fabulous, but still a matter of weeks at my house at least.
By the way, keep none of your wax in zip lock bags or any soft plastic thing. We believe those plastics can leach the scent from scented wax. If you order Scent Shots I hope you have a warmer like the one Victoria sells, lesser ones may not melt this exact wax as well. I love my wick trimmer so I can keep candles from smoking by trimming my wicks shorter than I ever did before.
In the cart I am working on today I will order my first Soap Shots since they (and other Bath and Body goodies) don't require curing time. That may be a better way for me to test new scents, I'm thinking. I have ordered several of the Chunk N' Dunk Soaps and they feel really lovely. The Hyacinth one I have in the Shower now is delightful. I have a Sugar Scrub in Southern Nights (fabulous Summer Floral!) and it smells SO good.

I decided to opt out of this sale because of moving and such. I hope everyone writes and puts up pictures of their order!
