Hey everyone, I'm new to Candles by Victoria. I'm so impressed by their scents and existing scent combinations, but when it comes to trying to create my own I'm stumped. Can anyone give me suggestions on how to mad-scientist the following scents? Horchata (description - rice-like milky smell, with cinnamon, spices, sweetness, and a hint of citrus) Macha (description- an earthy, deeper version of green tea) Ponche Navideno (description - a spicy fruit punch with cinnamon, hibiscus, tamarind, orange, apple, prune, pilonchillo - which is a caramel smelling unrefined sugar, guava, and apricot. Like a cross between cider, mulled wine, and tropical fruit punch) Bourbon bon bon (description - like a heady sweet whiskey frosting) Blondie (toffee, chocolate-white chocolate, with a buttery, almond, maple-like smell)
Also let me know what scents you are trying to achieve through combos, or hoping that CBV will create.
All The Best, ~Vern

Welcome to the boards Vern. I am not much of a mix master myself though I have tried a few. Just based on your description you might want to try some of these if you are brave.
Horchata: Bonsai and Orange Clove Macha: (There aren't very many tea scents so maybe Chai Tea with an herbally fragrance like Sage or Tuscan Herb Ponche NAvideno: Probably something like Christmas Eve with Anjou Pear.
Sorry that is all I could come up with at the moment and I urge you to try them all with caution because I haven't ever mixed any of those scents before though I have smelt most of them. Just not sure how well they would mix though.

Hi Vern! I will try to give suggestions for scents that might help you create what you're after. Horchata - I have yet to try Bonsai but I'm glad it was suggested. Based on Bonsai's description alone it is probably very close to the "rice" in Horchata. I have Rice Crispy Treats however I haven't melted it yet. Cold I do pick up a slight rice cereal note but it is very sweet. Blackberry Caramel Rice Pudding definitely has the rice scent but there is the inclusion of blackberry. Macha - You could try mixing Green Tea & Cucumber with Ginger Peach (smells like tea to me), Chai Tea, or maybe even Mint Tea. Maybe even mixing Ginger Peach with Mint Tea. Ponche Navideno - I haven't tried Mulberry Cider but it is Mulberry & Mulled Cider. Pink Sangria is wine punch. Witch's Brew sounds promising here is the description - "The aroma of spiced apple cider complimented by juicy notes of orange, pineapple, peach and cranberry. This fragrance is well rounded with hints of cinnamon and bases notes of creamy vanilla." Bite Me smells so much like fruit punch to me. Champagne Pomegranate is a fabulous scent and there is a bit of a fizz to it. Bourbon bon bon - I agree you might want to try Butter Rum Crunch. Buttercream Crunch. One of my favorite vanilla scents is Vanilla After Dark, described by many as a grown-up vanilla. Blondie - I haven't personally tried any of the nutty scents but I know she has many to choose from. Some popular ones that I hear talked about are Caramelized Pralines, Sticky Toffeecorn and Pumpkin Pecan Waffles. Butter Brickle from the scent description sounds promising - "Extremely buttery and creamy smelling. Strong base notes of vanilla, with hints of almond." I love Sugared Shortbread and suggest just trying that one for fun. Another delicious scent that might work as a mixer is Sugary Cinnamon Bread Pudding. Good luck and I hope you are able to create what you are looking for.
