Hello, I am a 30-something who always thought I hated candles and recently realized I loooove them! My initiation was via B&BW, then I recently tried a sample of 6 4oz candles from CBV. My question to you all: I really like the scents, but can barely smell them even when the candle is right next to me. I'm sitting on the couch right now with neroli blossom on my side table 18 inches away and can't smell it at all! Will the three wick candles be better? The few I have tried from B&BW scented my entire apartment within minutes, which I really like. Thanks for your input and again, hello!! Happy to have discovered CBV!

Yes absolutely the three wick candles will give you a better throw. Bigger the room bigger the candle you will need, however most candles by Victoria are pretty strong.

I know just how you feel. I am prepared to say that I have a less sensitive nose than some do. I order more candles than Scent Shots and I adore the stronger Bakery Scents. I cure my Bakery Scents for six months in Candles. It is entirely possible that the softer wax in the Scent Shots take less time. Here is an example. I received an Almond Pastry candle last week. It smelled yummy! I lit it yesterday, smelled nothing, extinquished it and now all I smell is the burned wick. So...off to my curing box for Almond Pastry and the other Bakery Scents that arrived with it!
For Spring I ordered Lily of the Valley which I have found to cure in three to five weeks. Love it!
I adore the three wick candles like the new Heart Shaped one, but a little 9 oz Country Jar single wicked Candle, after curing, should be good in a small room. I use the 4 oz size in a bathroom.

I think I just made a mistake of lighting. Y strawberry lemon shortbread candle the day I got it. Also because the wax is so fluffy... I blew it out in a few minutes bc the wicks got very long and Smokey. I trimmed them and relit. Now I guess one is too short bc that one keeps going out. Maybe I should blow the other wick out and be patient and let it cure longer. U can't imagine waiting 6 months.

I have an opportunity to ask an Otorhinolaryngologist a question about my sense of smell this coming Friday. He found that I have a deviated septum and scheduled me for a CT Scan. I expect him to tell me that:
1. I haven't been getting quite all the oxygen I should through the nostril that is almost blocked, 2. my sense of smell may be diminished by this anomaly, and 3. this i the cause of my clogged tear ducts.
so I may be the only person who cures her bakery scents that long. I hope he agrees that my sense of smell might be improved. I just kinda hate the idea of waking from surgery with nostrils plugged and my nose bandaged and needing to breathe through my mouth.
