Judy I would imagine the poor thing was hungry--eating out of your hand like that---does he look thin to you?
About a month after we moved here---I was sitting on the patio at night---it was dark--only a few lights on the water were giving any light out as moon not very full and something walked across the grass and came up to my patio screen---I very quietly reached over to the glass door and opened it and asked Dan to step out on the patio---he did and from what he could make out in the dark----he said it looked like a fox standing there looking in at us---he left after about 2 minutes--I guess when he realized he was not getting any food.
Your pictures are great as usual and we loved looking at them.
Does that fox look thin to you ? You probably see more of them than I do !!!

Naw, he's not thin, he's just shedding out. Normally a fox will not approach a human like that. He's been conditioned to take food from humans and not to be afraid. Not a good thing IMO. I really didn't do him any favors by giving him food. It was a spur of the moment thing.
We have a fox here at the house we see every morning. He has not been conditioned like the one in the pics. He's outta sight as soon as he hears a door or window open.

that is interesting---but true--we really do not do them a favor by feeding them---but most of the time our instinct is to feed them.
I love looking at animals---love your pictures.

who me ? Now why would u think of me when looking at a fox LOL---Don't answer that---but I do love animals so much as I think most of us on this board do. They bring so much joy to our world. Yesterday went to a new female doctor here---She is the go to doctor in this area--everyone loves her---as someone said to me--think female Marcus Welby---of course the young one's on the board will not know who that is LOL She does not believe in a lot of meds---she believes in a lot of alternate therapies---she went to school with Dr. Oz--who I love--she said everyone loved him as he was so tall and handsome and here he has his own tv show now and here she is in Melbourne--oh well--she was great--and Donna had told me I would love her. Her practice his based on a lot of the things that I have heard Dr Oz say on tv. I am getting way off the story here---anyways--she has two therapy dogs in her office---they are under 5 pound Yorkie's and you know I love Yorkie's--we had 3 of them for around 18 years--a mother and her daughter and son and to this day we still miss them so much. The doctor usually has the dogs in her office--but she did not yesterday for some reason and I was so bummed out---I was dying to see them---I would never have left if I had seen them. She told me that one of them was a rescue dog and when she got them she had them trained as therapy dogs--as a lot of her practice is old people like us LOL She also told me her best friend--who is a snowbird and will not be back here till September--is the Pres or Vice Pres of the Yorkie's Rescue League--and she will hook me up with her friend when she comes back in the fall---and sometimes when she comes back she has a litter with her that she has rescued. The doctor also said that about 15 of her patients have these rescued dogs thru this lady. Dan and I are really excited about it----we had dogs our whole married life---which you know is 50 years in October----WOW a very long time haha---and we have not had a dog in about 8 years now---so we are def ready for another Yorkie in our life. Boy I did not mean to ramble on and on !!!!!
