I took this picture on my in laws porch on our last visit out to Georgia to visit my husbands family. I couldn't help but laugh, Its the ultimate redneck wind-chime, all its missing is the pet crocodiles baby teeth . "sigh" I really miss the south and can't wait to go back.

You want to leave Vegas for the SOUTH? LOL Gee, why would that be? What brought you and your DH to Vegas anyway? Not your typical "gotta live there" choice. Love the lights though. Kinda like NYC/Manhattan at night....so beautiful.

Maureen I was born In vegas and have lived here my entire life until I met my husband in 04 he came here on vacation and a friend introduced us..his big ole blue eyes and southern drawl had me packing me up my things and saying adéu to my neon desert shortly after, I will never forget when I stepped of the plane in Atlanta "not where he lives" his town is too small to have an airport so thats the closest but when they opened the plane door and I stepped out I couldn't breath! the air was so thick my poor little dried out raisin lungs couldn't handle it lol we spent about a year there but the job situation was just really bad there so we figured we might have a better shot back out and vegas...and we did. I can't wait to go back there though. I spent all my days in the window just watching all the wild life and my first gawguh rain was insaneeeee I couldn't believe it actually rained that hard! It filled up his entire backyard in under 10 minutes...I had a momentary lapse of sanity and decided I was going to go jump on his backyard trampoline while it was pouring, I'm pretty sure his family thought I was nuts but I had the time of my life until he made me come in and dry off :/ I love it here in my wasteland too though and I'll always miss it when I leave but I'd love to live my life back In GA were saving to buy a house back there within the next couple years "fingers crossed"

Oh wow. That's so cool. There's nothing like that where I'm from. HOW NOT COOL. People don't have cutesy things like that on their porches. Although there are no porches anywhere within (I'm pretty sure) like a hundred miles of where I live Boring city life sometimes =(

Well I live in a city that's a little more 'civilized' for lack of a better word but some of the smaller surrounding cities have stuff like that all over. Like chimes like that, sofas outside on the porches, recliners on porches, and piles of random stuff......it can give a bad impression to some people, but I personally think it's funny. I like that chime though my grandpa made us one a while back I wish my mom could find it because I wanna hang it outside of our apartment!!

That is nothing! You might be a redneck if you own more to your taxidermist then you make in a year = my step dad! When my mom and him were dating he made us lunch on the hot dash of his truck! haha
OMG I can't make this stuff up! But I love him!
Kristal, I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE Vegas! It's one of my favorite places to go! I like shinny things I guess! My husband and I were just there in Oct to celebrate his MBA. Now when I get my MBA we are going to San Francisco (another fave of mine!) but I really want to go back to Vegas soon!
