I was cleaning up my wish list and ended up alphabetizing it and combined it with the scents I have in my current collection. Of course this got my me plotting for a future order. A girl needs to be prepared right? What are your opinions, thoughts, or feelings on the following scents? Rice Crispy Treats - I've had another scent with marshmallow that smelled a bit like play doh to me. :/ That smell could have been planted in my head because I had heard some one say that about the particular scent I'm talking about. Anyway, any play doh scent in this one? Buttery? Creamy? Scrumptious Scoops - Fudge, vanilla ice cream, bananas..... Pomegranate Oak - Lemon Lavender - Smelled the Y***** type and loooooved it. Lei Flowers - Once again wanting to add more florals. Herbal Mist - Is this too clean or green? Dogwood Blossoms - Cottage Garden - I've heard good things about this one. Christmas Buttered Rum - I'm kind of craving a rum scent. I don't even know if my nose knows what it wants. Dark Angel - I haven't met a mint I haven't liked "yet". Rum Raisin - Looking for a good rum scent. Thanks again for the help

Raisin rum is a little too buttery for my taste!
Dark angel is strong! To me the patchouli is way too much!

Rice Crispy Treats did indeed smell strongly of Play Dough when I first recieved it. I set it back and let it cure for maybe a month and a half or two. Even then there was a tiny whiff of PLay Dough still lingering around. But as soon as I melted it in the warmer it smelt more like true Rice Crispy Treats. It is a light scent but you get the grain from the cereal and the light sweet marshmallow. I didn't smell Victoria's signature butter scent in there, but that could just have been my nose refusing to pick it up because I'm not a butter fan. It was a nice Rice Crispy scent, but only get it if you like the SCENT of Rice Crispy Treats. I've gotten a few things only because they sounded like things I love to eat only to realize while I love to eat them I don't much care for my home smelling so much like it lol. That is the problem with bakery. Pomegranate Oak was incredibly syrupy sweet. It kind of smelt like Kool-Aid a bit. While I love sweet scents for some reason this one was just not to my liking. There is no oak smell in this at all. It is pretty much a sticky sweet pomegranate syrup. Dogwood Blossoms I haven't had personally but I recall Jason did a review on his blog stating that it was a very nice floral and that it would be good for floral haters to try. and Dark Angel I received about two weeks ago so it is still curing, but on cold throw it smells like a women's sexy minty perfume. I like it so far, but I'm a little worried that once it cures more I will smell patchouli and I HATE patchouli. So I hope it stays just like it is now. It is a very unique scent because the peppermint and spearmint blend so well and the vanilla sweetens it slightly. So far I haven't smelt ANY patchouli and that is how I like it.

Thanks Jen and Cayla!
Jen, I don't know if I really want much of a butter smell. I like to eat popcorn but the buttery smell of it is only something I like on occasion. I can't stand popcorn jelly beans at all yeck! I think pass on Rum Raisin for now.
Hmmm Dark Angel. I am okay with some earthy. I even got Patchouli Raspberry and melted it the other night. The whole time I wrestled with the "is this too much patchouli?" question. It wasn't a favorite. Maybe I like my patchouli with vanilla's and not fruit. I think I'll be daring and this one soon because I do like mint. Honestly the scent description is mysterious to me because I would never put those notes together.
I am worried about about Rice Crispy Treats for the very same reason you mentioned Cayla. I love the taste of Rice Crispies but the smell (yep I smelled it) is not exciting. I want a toasted a marshmallow smell. A fake sweet marshmallow. Coconut Cream Pie really satisfied my nose craving for toasted marshmallow and maybe I should end my search. I should however melt St .Lucia again to see if the play doh note is gone.
Someone on FB said their young son thought Pomegranate Oak smelled like a Tigers Blood snow cone. Those are my favorite! Maybe the syrupy smell is pretty strong since that is all that flavors the snow cones. Still curious. Is there any scent of coconut that you can remember?
Dang iphone sucks for long replies :/

I didn't smell any coconut personally in Pomegranate Oak, then again to me it just smelt like some kind of pomegranate Kool-Aid.

Thank you I try to have some what of an order list pretty ready to go because once Victoria adds new scents around a sale I feel like a chicken with it's head cut off. If I see a scent being ordered a lot chances are I might order it to see what the hype is all about. I ordered Captain Crunch Berries just see what the big deal was. I really couldn't believe how much I liked it. I had zero intentions of ever ordering it. I'm trying to keep an open mind about scents even if I think I may not like them. Scents I think I'll like and scents I actually ended up liking surprise me all of the time.

I have almost caved and bought both Captain Crunch Berries and Fruit Loops because they are so beloved but I just don't see myself as liking cereal type fragrances. Then again as you mentioned I have received and ordered scents completely out of my candle comfort zone that I ended up loving so who knows. Maybe someday I will but for now I am steadily plotting my Christmas order lol.

Jason really enjoyed Lei Flowers in a video I believe, so I have a fairly new Scent Shot in it. It has great potential already! Good choice!

Thank you I have watched Jason's review on this scent and read his blog too. I really like Plumeria Passion and I'm thinking this one might be a good choice. I'm glad to hear that you think it already has potential

I love Dark Angel! To me the patchouli is actually on the lighter side!
Rice Crispy Treats was pretty "meh" to my nose. It was pretty light, and I do think I got a hint of "play-doh". I couldn't see myself really ever melting it so I tossed it in the swap pile.
I don't remember much about Lei Flowers but I remember I liked it!
And Pomegranate and Oak I remember it wasn't at all what I was expecting. My mom ordered it for me but I ended up leaving it with her. But I know she hasn't melted it so I will have to go give it a sniff now that it's cured.

Thanks Kayla! I think I'll keep Dark Angel on my "order next" list. I enjoy a variety of scents. So far I haven't found a scent with mint that I don't like. Have you ever tried Sonny & Cher? The combination of notes in that one scares me a little bit but because it has mint I'm intrigues me as well. I did pick up play-doh in St. Lucia so I am afraid my nose is going to be one that smells play-doh in the marshmallow scents. Marshmallow Campfire however did not have a play-doh note at all. Because I really love Plumeria Passion I have a strong feeling Lei Flowers will be a winner for me too. I really like tropical florals but other florals seem to be hit or miss for me. Someone on the FB page said their son thought Pomegranate and Oak smelled liked a Tigers Blood snow cone. That is one of my favorite flavors and I'm pretty sure it has coconut in it. There is nothing said of coconut in the scent description but like Cayla said she gets a Kool-Aid smell from it and I can see how it might smell like a snow cone syrup. If you get a chance to smell it let me know what you think

The combination of notes in that one scares me a little bit but because it has mint I'm intrigues me as well. Sonny & Cher was a scent that I did not care for AT ALL. While I love minty scents I find I do not like them paired up with bamboo. Because that is basically all the scent is; minty bamboo. And it is a strong thrower. I suppose if you like both mint and bamboo type fragrances then give it a shot. As for myself I believe I traded that in the last round robin. It is kind of clean smelling though and it is a definite twist on your usual minty scents.

I've had bamboo smell really green like in Bamboo & White Grapefruit and then not so green just fresh in Bamboo & Grated Ginger. Hmmmm, it's not on my list as of now. It is so hard to tell by a scent description alone if we will like a scent. I picked a few in my very first scent shot order that I ended up not liking at all. A lot of people love them but not me. They were Breath Of Ireland and Rolling In The Deep.

The bamboo was more like a strong realistic kind of airy wood bamboo. It is incredibly hard going off description alone because one word can have different kinds of smells like peach. Does it smell like a real peach or like a candy peach? So hard making the decisions off of things like that. However good thing the boards are here for that.

I have a hard enough time picking out a new deodorant! Picking a scent from 850 different scents is absolutely something I need help with.
