Here it is finally! My little order a little late in reviewing but I hope you like it. Please remember this is a COLD sniff review and each scent may change when melted.
September 1st Order Cold Sniff Review
Night Blooming Jasmine – On cold sniff I am loving this one so much more than Baby’s Breath (Jasmine + Vanilla). There is a sweet tropical floral note that I keep picking up, maybe plumeria. I have a feeling that I am really going to enjoy this floral scent (I love tropical florals). It has a pretty strong cold throw and because of that I will be sure to first melt just a tiny bit.
Pearberry Delicious – I am picking up more strawberry/berry in this scent cold than I did with Pearberry Fun (I love this one btw). I can pick out a little bit of pear but the scent is mostly strawberries with some pear right now. I also have Simply Pear (not melted yet) and that has been by far the sweetest of the pear scents on cold sniff. I have no doubts that it is going to be great when melted. I’m curious to see how it will compare to Pearberry Fun. This was also my free scent shot with this order, so I now I have two Pearberry Delicious.
I Put A Smell On You – I have never smelled Watermelon Cupcake but I do have and love Tiffany-D which is probably why I can smell that note first. Love Potion No. 9 is another scent that I have and love and I can pick it out as well. I would say that if you like any of the above scents then totally give I Put A Smell On You a try. This combo is really great and I can only imagine it will have me almost licking the walls just like Tiffany-D.
Fizzy Pop – Straight up fizzy lemon lime soda. For anyone who loves those effervescent type scents. I can see this being a really refreshing scent to melt in the sweltering heat of summer. My kiddos definitely approved of this one.
Grapefruit Blackberry – Jackieo said this one reminded her of a natural soap she once used. Oddly enough my oldest daughter first said this scent also reminded her of a soap and she had no clue that Jackieo had said the same thing. Personally it doesn't remind me of a soap but that isn't a bad thing. I do get the same type of blackberry that I get in Blackberry Caramel Rice Pudding and in Blackberry Sage. The grapefruit adds a slight tartness but nothing that will make you pucker up. It will be interesting to see how this one smells once melted.
Coffee Bean – Yes sir, a cup coffee….reminds me more of a diner actually than it does a hipster coffee house. To be honest I don’t brew my coffee in an actual coffee machine, I use instant Tasters Choice. Trust me I make crappy coffee, it’s genetic. That being said, I stuck my nose in my Tasters Choice and Coffee Bean doesn't have that freeze dried smell to me. It is not a heavy dark roast either. My guess is that this scent will really shine when it is warmed up. I’m sure it would be a fun scent to mix with if you ever wanted to create your own personal coffee scent. Final word, smells much better than any coffee I could ever make but doesn't smell like a mix of designer coffees from a popular coffee house. My order I received last Friday has a ton of coffee scents and I may have to take some serious notes when comparing them all.
Apple Butter Festival – I got this scent because I loved Apple Cinnamon Butter so much and I also think my daughter was urging me to get this scent as well. The combo is Apple Cinnamon Butter and Kettle Corn. I have not tried Kettle Corn on it’s own but I can pick out a slight and not overly in your face popcorn note. It is just enough popcorn to make this a scent that you really want to eat. All in all it is a delicious scent on cold sniff.
Lavender & Basil – This particular scent does remind me of a soap. This is nice and clean. I don’t get a lavender or basil scent, not the herbal type that may deter some people from ever trying this one anyway. The lavender that is in this scent is reminiscent of some lavender bath salts or something like that. I actually keep picturing my grandma’s bathroom. She always had a ton of soaps, and scented toiletries that were mostly gifts. It’s not that this scent smells like an old woman to me, just a mix of various scented toiletries. If you like clean scents or might be looking for one, don’t pass this up.
Bubbling Butterscotch Sundae – This smells like the butterscotch that may be in Oatmeal Butterscotch Cookie. This smells like it could be more of a liquid butterscotch in comparison to Christmas Buttered Rum that smells more like a hard candy.
