I know I haven't done a cold sniff review on my orders in awhile and I'm very sorry. I wish I could tell you how long it took to put this one together...
Strawberry White Cake – I wish I could compare this to Strawberry Shortcake but I have never tried that scent. Honestly I don’t get much of a cake note. I pick up a very sweet almost syrupy strawberry scent the most. Because this is a cold sniff review there is a huge chance that more of the cake note will come out once melted. Has anyone tried this scent yet?
Honey Cinnamon – This one is not what I expected. This is not like the honey note in Bath Time With Pooh or in Honeybee. Cinnamon isn't jumping up and down screaming look at me either. What I get is almost, I don’t know, like a musky perfume….not really floral, almost kind of leathery……This one is just too hard to describe and I’m hoping it will change once melted because cold it really isn't for me. To be fair my teen daughter likes this scent a lot cold and says she can smell the honey. She says the cinnamon is more like a mildly spicy incense.
Coco Lime Verbena - I really like the scent with a very similar name from BBW. It is actually surprising that I haven’t ordered this scent before now. In comparison to the BBW scent (from memory) I would have to say that Coco Lime Verbena is pretty close just heavier on the coconut. I love both coconut and lime scents and can see me reaching for this scent when I am not in the mood to melt anything specific.
Springdipity – If you are afraid that this scent will be too floral for you based on the description, don’t be. At least to my nose on cold sniff I am not picking up heavy florals at all. The floral and berries blend together very well, neither note overpowering the other. It actually reminds me of a scent that would be good for a light lotion. I don’t think my floral hating husband will be bothered by this one.
Vanilla Velvet - Right now cold this one smells a lot like when you cream butter, sugar, and vanilla extract together, just stronger on the vanilla.
Marshmallow Peppermint – Pretty strong on the peppermint with the powdery sweetness you get from marshmallows. I can’t quite say that I get the floral or berry notes but there is definitely something else to this scent that makes it different from the other recently released peppermint fragrances. Since I have yet to melt them all, it is impossible to say which my favorite is at this point.
Dreamy Creamy Coconut – This is a blend of Coconut Cream Pie and Crème Brulee. Coconut Cream Pie is one of my favorites, to me it smells like toasted marshmallows. I have yet to try Crème Brulee on its own. I get the “toasted” note I get from Coconut Cream Pie but there is a very rich sweet creaminess to this scent that I can only imagine is the Crème Brulee. This is one I am very much looking forward to melting.
Monkey Bread – I get a very sweet and strong cinnamon note. Monkey Bread is very reminiscent of Cinnamon Rolls. I almost want to say that I pick a up a light powdered sugar note. Definitely for cinnamon lovers.
Safari Sunset – The magnolia blossom in this scent is very strong but it is blended quite lovely with the other floral and fruit notes. Even though this scent says there is orange blossom, my nose picks up a fruity orange scent. If you have tried and enjoyed Peach Magnolia Raspberry I would definitely recommend Safari Sunset. Florals can be hit or miss for me but I am finding magnolia scents are very pleasant. My Grandmother had two magnolia trees in her front yard and it could be this memory that makes this a happy fragrance for me.
Lei Flowers – Plumeria is the familiar tropical floral in this one that my nose is able to detect immediately. Pikake isn’t a floral note that my nose is experienced with so it may be equally as present as Plumeria and I am just having a hard time distinguishing between the two. Lei Flowers is a beautiful tropical floral. If you love scents like Plumeria Passion or Night Blooming Jasmine this fragrance is one you shouldn't miss.
Raspberry Peach Cobbler - Cajun Cornbread! There I said it. Maybe less “cornbread” but I definitely smell Cajun Cornbread and it is NOWHERE in the description. It must be the combination of the other notes together……well let’s see, here they are….”peach cobbler, raspberry, brown sugar and Crème Brulee”. Maybe my nose is out of whack. For those who have melted or burned this scent what do you think? Obviously this one needs to be warmed to be completely fair.
Pineapple Mango - The pineapple is very sweet and juicy. Mango is one of those scents that does not jump out at me in any scent that I have tried where it is present. That being said this scent is absolutely pineapple but there is more fruit to it making very juicy and delicious.
Abercrombie & Fitch Fierce – Does this smell like its name? I would be the last person to know because I don’t know what the original smells like. It does however smell like a very young sexy man’s cologne. My husband doesn't enjoy the masculine scents when I melt them. This would be great in b&b for a man for sure.
Skinny Dippin’ – This smells like being outside surrounded by greenery with hints of sweet fruit. Cold I am loving and hating this one. There is “palm” in this scent as well as in Palm Island which I can NOT stand cold (can’t bring myself to melt it yet). I only slightly pick up on the similar “palm” note. There is something fresh about this one that I really like. I definitely believe that you must melt a scent before completely writing it off.
Twisted Peppermint – Like Christmas In Who-Ville this one really reminds me of a candy cane. Twisted Peppermint is stronger on the peppermint cold and Christmas In Who-Ville seemed more sweet. Sniffing this one cold is opening up my sinuses.
Sandalwood – Here is the description “Woody bouquet with touches of cedarwood, amber, cedar leaf and musk.” As you can see this scent is much more than just sandalwood making it hard to describe other than telling you it is a nice warm woody scent. I personally find fragrances with a sandalwood note to be sensual.
Sandalwood & Leather – I have not tried the Leather scent on its own but I have tried Leather & Lace which I absolutely loved and need more of. The leather note is very present and comparing it to the above Sandalwood Scent Shot, Leather is by far the most dominate note cold.
Georgia Peach – I think this smells like the outside skin of a ripe peach.
Cool Citrus Basil – I believe this is supposed to be a dupe of BBW scent that I can not recall every smelling. It does not scream herbal basil nor is it completely citrus. It smells like a masculine or unisex soap.
Vanilla Cake Pops – Would you call me crazy if I told you I smell a hint of bubble gum at the bottom this Scent Shot? I pick up an almost nutty note too but maybe that is rather a baked cake scent I am smelling…….Deliciously sweet but not sickeningly so, one of the most edible smelling scents I have sniffed.
Baked Apple Strudel – This smells like sprinkling an apple with cinnamon and baking it in the oven. I don’t pick up the “strudel” or even a bakery note yet but I would be happy if this scent remained just baked apple with cinnamon. I think if Apple Cinnamon Butter was too buttery for you this one might be worth giving a shot. The apple really smells like true baked apples.
Coconut Water – This scent is very fresh! I personally think this smells more watery and juicy than it does creamy. Sweet with juicy fruits and not heavy on the coconut. I can see this scent making a great refreshing body spray in the warmer months.
Tangerine Mimosa – I got this scent because someone said they liked it in bath and body. It is a tart and sweet juicy citrus. I expected this scent to have some effervescence to it because of the champagne note like in Champagne Pomegranate or fizzy in Fizzy Pop but my nose is not picking up on the tingly sensation you get with those type of scents.
Blueberry Cobbler – Super fruity warm blueberries. I don’t get much of the cobbler now but I bet it will come out when warmed.
Blueberry Monkey Bread – On cold sniff I like this one more than Blueberry Cobbler. This is a mix of Blueberry Cheesecake which I have not tried and Cinnamon Raisin Bread, which I have. The cinnamon and blueberry smell so heavenly delicious together. As much as I loooove Blueberry Flapjacks I am really curious to see if Blueberry Monkey Bread will be my new favorite blueberry bakery scent….
Snow Taffy - The only one of my new scents that I have melted. My husband said it smelled like nougat and since he said that I have to agree that nougat is a good description of how this smells. Creamy and sweet but not overly sweet.
Kimono Silk - On cold sniff this is my favorite out of the bunch! Here is the official description “A blend of an aromatic blend of Japanese grapefruit and mandarin, full bodied middle notes of Georgia peach, purple plums, Valencia grapes, and soft rose petals; sitting on a wonderful base note of Nubian musk.” I do love grapefruit but for those who don’t, no worries it adds a slight tart freshness without stealing the show. The rose is also not so strong it will scare off floral haters. On first sniff of this scent I knew I wanted it in bath and body. It is bright, fresh and feminine. I have faith this one will be one of my top favorites.
I also got a lotion and body in spray in Pink Chiffon and six bath bombs.
Here are the bath bomb scents I chose -
Sexy In Stilettos
Pure Seduction
White Sage
Coconut Cream Pie
Badedas
Balinese Breeze
Strawberry White Cake – I wish I could compare this to Strawberry Shortcake but I have never tried that scent. Honestly I don’t get much of a cake note.
