Well I'm back with another scent review and this one is of the round robin we just had. It is only the first part since I had a major swap and so I still have a lot more scents to get to. So I hope you guys enjoy this and find this helpful. Let me know your opinions on the scents if you've tried them or just want to try them. queentakesjack22.blogspot.com/2014/03/shot-though-tart.html

I agree with Jenn that grape soda is definitely on my list to try. I also want to try Breakfast at Vermont and Boston Cream Pie. Lol at Cajun Cornbread. I burned it yesterday and all it reminded me of was slight peaches and popcorn. It had a homey scent to it. Boyfriend hated it though.
huge kudos to you in submitting a review for us even though you are obstaining from melting! Can't wait to read part 2...

I'm glad you guys both like them! Grape Soda is one everyone needs to try at least once in my opinion. Hanna: Haha sounds like you and my mom are on the same page with Cajun Cornbread and me and your boyfriend are on the same page. I honestly think of all the things I gave up for lent my CBV is the hardest. It not only is affecting me it is affecting my mother. She said "Never Again." Lol but I'm determined not to break though it is hard with a package just waiting to be opened in my CBV cabinet. You never realize how much a part of your life it becomes until you can't melt anymore lol. Addict is the perfect word for us.

Always love your reviews! Being a mint lover Buttermint Candies definitely sounds like it's for me. I am so glad I took your recommendation and ordered Grape Soda. Cold it is sooo good to me! It smells like happiness I recently melted Breakfast In Vermont and enjoyed it quite a bit. I did pick up on the chocolate. I think as far as a chocolate scent goes Get Me S'more or Fudge Brownies is much more chocolaty. My grandma had a box with frankincense and myrrh. It had the story of Jesus' birth and the kids loved looking at it. I'm glad you reviewed Frankincense & Myrrh, I want to try it now. Thanks for the great review

I think you will like Frankincense and Myrrh Lisa. It isn't earthy or herbal but it is really nice and not too incense like. Our noses seem to be pretty close so I think you might enjoy it. Of course no guarantees! I'm so torn on Breakfast In Vermont because I don't hate the scent or anything but it isn't one that I see myself having to have in my stash at all times. So I don't know yet whether or not I want to put it aside for my round robin swaps or not. Do you have scents like that? I always try to put some aside for the next one even if they are scents that I like but just don't love enough to keep in case I want to trade for one I've never had before. My goal is to try all the scents then I will focus on just keeping the ones I love. But I don't think I've even cracked the 300 mark and there are like 900 scents...

I wanted to add that I am not a big fan of Cajun Cornbread either. I liked it better warmed up than I did cold but it was just too savory or something for me. I have a scent shot in Raspberry Peach Cobbler but haven't melted it yet because it smells a lot like Cajun Cornbread cold.
My intention goal when ordering scent shots was to find about 20 favorites I'd be devoted to and only try a few new scents here and there. Well......quite the opposite has happened. I have soooooo many favorites it's ridiculous and I became quite obsessed with trying new scents. I really should document the ones I don't think I could ever live without but each scent is so different and amazing in their own way it is near impossible not to love more than 20.

I had a similar experience with Lemon Peach Pound Cake Preserves *think that's the name I just woke up lol* and I didn't melt that one either but swapped it because I could smell the Cajun Cornbread. I think the preserves part is just too sweet for my nose. I don't know there is something about it that I just don't care for.
Raspberry Peach Cobbler though I have had and once warmed up doesn't smell anything like Cajun Cornbread. Give it some more cure time and it should smell exactly like it implies.
And picking a top 50 is near impossible! There seems to be scent perfect for every mood or occasion. I gotta say I am looking forward to Easter so I can check out all the new scents I ordered last month.

You are a saint for holding out so long on melting. Easter is going to feel like Christmas for you. I love the look of the Raspberry Peach Cobbler, maybe I should melt that scent today. We've got some rain and a nice bakery scent is always a comfort on rainy days.

Good news is I'm already half the way through lent so only 3 more weeks to go! *it sounds so long lol* But honestly this has been good for me. It has way made me realize how much I use my CBV and how good it is for me and my nose. I haven't even touched my shots at all or smelt them. They are hidden away in my cabinet. But it made me realize what a good hobby it is for me. Not just that it smells good but it is kind of therapeutic smell my shots, and melt them, and make all my crazy lists, and reviews. It is a healthy distraction I think. But my mother and I agree, never again! lol we both miss it too much. She has forbidden me from doing it again or giving up something that by association she also has to give up. She says I'm punishing her lol.
I hope you like raspberry peach cobbler. It isn't an absolute favorite of mine but I liked it and thought it smelt like how it was supposed to smell.
