One of my first orders arrived June 8, 2013. One candle was a cylinder candle in Carnation. I anticipated a lovely spicy floral scent. It is now May, 2014. This cylinder candle has a vague tiny floral cold throw. I think it never cured. Sadly, when lit, this candle was a zip and still is today. I had no success with the Satsuma candle in that order either.
The Jasmine scent shot cured in 7 weeks. I failed to record cure time for the first Southern Nights Candle in that order. Clearly it was a success as I have ordered several since.
Has anyone else ordered Carnation and had a better time with it?

I have not ordered any of those particular scents except for Satsuma and that was in scent shot form and I had no problems. You might want to try scooping a little bit of your wax from the candle into your tart warmer and see if it is the wax that is the problem or just the candle form. I don't usually use my candles though I know that my bubble gum one doesn't have that much of a throw unless I melt it for at least 2 hours then and only then do I really get a smell out of it, but I also have other candles that had great throws like my Sweet Snow candle. But my Exotic candle takes a long time to get a throw. I think with candles it could be hit or miss sometimes with the scents, but with the shots you very rarely get one that has no throw.

I only have Carnation in a SS and have yet to melt it. I have had it for quite some time though. I agree with Cayla that scooping some of your Carnation candle into your warmer might help.
You've really got me wanting to try Southern Nights.

I have Carnation in a mini jelly jar and I agree the throw is pretty small. I do however, detect this scent in some of the other CBV scents so I think it's a great scent to mix. I smell more light roses than anything.

Every time I light the carnation candle I like it less.
